He dropped it and walked to his bed where he laid the outfit he previously selected. He was soon dressed in a hoodie and shorts; he usually dressed casually whenever he was home. He folded his towels and dumped them in the laundry basket beside his bathroom door. When he went to pick up his phone, Caitlyn crossed his mind again. He sighed and called her number then. ... Loud music busted through her phone speaker and brought her mind back to reality. She slowly picked it up and saw that the caller was Martin.

Taylor saw his opportunity and approached Sebastian, clutching his gift. Up close, Sebastian’s presence was intimidating, but Taylor try not to falter. “Chairman Hawthorne,” he called carefully. Sebastian’s sharp, observing eyes met his. He didn’t respond immediately, studying Taylor as if searching for something. “Yes,” Sebastian finally said. Taylor straightened. “My name is Taylor Jenson. I own Jenson Corporation. I came to wish you a happy birthday,” he said, trying to maintain composure. Sebastian simply replied, “Thank you,” and returned to his newspaper. Taylor realized he had forgotten everything he had rehearsed.

Annabelle snorted like I’d said something hilarious. “Are you serious right now?” she said, looking at me like I was the most pathetic person she’d ever seen. “You’re actually that shameless? You expect Taylor to apologize to you just because some psycho tells him to? Keep dreaming, honey.” Everything happened so fast after that. One second we were all standing there talking, and the next second Taylor was flat on the ground. I didn’t even see Zayne move. One moment he was standing a few feet away from us, and the next moment Taylor was sprawled out on the concrete with Annabelle tangled up next to him. Since they’d been holding hands, she’d gone down with him.

Taylor jumped and rolled, causing a tree in the distance to go up in flames. "Watch out!" shouted Taylor, before putting out the fire with a wave of his hand. "You're kidding, right?" Cole said as he stepped forward. "What are you trying to prove?" There was annoyance in his voice. "You need more power, this is the best way to get it," Taylor said, and Cole gave me an apologetic look. "I'm fine," I said, trying to hide my shock. "Just a little overheated." I glared at Taylor, trying to gauge the reaction to the previous training session.

But Taylor is undaunted as he rises from the ground, shakes himself off like a wet dog, and stalks towards us purposely. I raise my hand again, but this time, whatever spurt of power that stopped him before does not reemerge. He chuckles at my attempts and comes closer. Jace growls upon witnessing the scene which made Arianne giggles loudly. "Sir, your parents already arrived at home and so is Mr. Miller. I receive a call that the police are coming in a few minutes, if you want to wait and talk to them it's okay but if not, I'll just handle things from here." Taylor said formally to Jace. Jace entrusted Taylor with everything and decided to bring his family in to their home as he sees they look kind of tired already.
