My eyes drift shut as my body sinks deeper into his arms.
“They are good,” Tes says.
I smile and open my eyes. “They are.” I knew he would like them, which is why I got them for his birthday dinner party. He’s old, they cover old music, so it’s a perfect match. Tes hates birthday parties. Even while growing up, I knew he didn’t like them. He says it’s just another day for him, but I want him to see it as a special occasion—a day to celebrate with your friends and family, eat great food, and party till your heart is content.
