‘Tears are not a sign of weakness,’ my wolf encouraged. ‘Just because our mate doesn’t cry in front of other people doesn’t mean he’s immune to emotions. Our mate prefers to let his tears have no audience. We should learn to cry at the right time and know the difference between tears of strength weakening and tears of not giving up.’

“It's all my fault. Everything that happened to you is my fault; I should be the one dead. I'll never be happy, I promise to never be happy.” Tears kept streaming down my face, a quiet, soundless waterfall of sorrow. My body shook slightly, but my mouth was clamped shut, stifling any audible sobs. I cried silently, hiding my pain from the world, as if afraid to let others see the depth of my emotions. Each tear that fell was a testament to the weight I carried, a physical manifestation of the grief, hurt, or frustration that had become too much to bear. Chapter Two Ava’s POV The house was eerily quiet, except for the soft rustling of my hands as I packed away the last remnants of my past. I stood in Lily’s bedroom, my fingers tracing over the framed picture of my little girl. Her bright smile was frozen in time, her eyes full of the happiness she had always carried. My chest ached, but I couldn’t cry anymore—there were no tears left. No more pain to wipe on. Slowly, I removed the picture from the wall, placing it gently inside the bag I had set aside. The bag was meant for burning. I didn't want to see anymore of it that will bring pain towards me.

If a simple apology could solve the problem, there wouldn't be so many tragedies in the world." I closed the door without hesitation. No matter how much Callista banged on it, I did not open it again. After half an hour, the sound of Callista's voice outside finally died down, and I received a message from her, saying, "I'll make it up to you for what happened with Jeffrey!"
