The second the door clicked shut, every bit of tenderness drained from Lisa's face. I started thrashing the second I could, but those straps were way tougher than they looked. Every move just made them dig deeper into my skin. These weren't soft leather straps at all. "Don't bother," Lisa spat. She gave the softer-looking leather straps a little shake, then smiled smugly. A ghost of a smile appears on his lips before he returns his focus to the stallion, and I can tell he is grateful that I grabbed it for him. They spend the next hour with the stallion attempting to charge Lance and Lance merely dodges making sure to keep out of its way. The intent is to make it tire itself out enough so that when Lance lassos it, there will be less of a fight and therefore less risk of injury to either party. Finally, Lance creates his lasso with the rope I gave him and as the stallion charges toward him one last time, he throws the rope over its head, capturing it perfectly and he allows a little slack on the rope before using all his strength to pull it back to a stop.
