Pre-dawn light almost crept over the perimeter as the black skycar floated down to the lower levels. It was too timely for much activity in Aquila, but the hovels had already come alive as vendors threw open their doors and listless workers headed toward jobs in the coal mines or to the few factories that still make use of manual labour..

I can't think, i feel numb, in every aspect. "Lexa! "at first i wasn't sure i heard it right but then his voice came shouting again on top the heavy rain. "Lexa !" I try looking up but then i get a heavy amount of water in my eyes and i shot them again. Just kneeling there, crying and letting the rain water wash me. Then i felt him. He raps his arms around me whispering suiting words to my ears. Holding me tightly to him.

The marsh water rose, not attacking but lifting gently, forming a barrier between villagers and shadow creatures. The shadows struck it and dissolved like ink washed clean. Mara stared in shock. “You didn’t destroy them.” Isabella’s voice shook. “I redirected them.” The water settled again. Silence returned. Ash lowered his sword slowly. “Well,” he said, breathing hard, “that’s new.” Mara turned back to Isabella, something like respect in her gaze now. “Perhaps,” she said quietly, “this cycle truly is different.” Far away at the border, Rex felt the surge through the bond and smiled faintly despite himself.

Chapter One: A New Beginning Aqua’s heart raced as she walked through the imposing iron gates of Crestwood High. Another town, another school, another chance to start over—if only it were that simple. At 5'10", her presence commanded attention, but she preferred to stay unnoticed. Her dark skin glowed under the morning sun, and her eyes, a striking shade of amber, held secrets untold. She pulled her hood tighter, hoping to shield herself from the prying eyes she could already feel on her.

Christan replied flatly. “Clearly, you haven’t tried out the hot springs yet!” Xavier said confidently. “The water here is all genuine underground hot spring water—not a drop of it is artificially heated. The minerals in it are rare and diverse, and one soak really does relax your whole body. I highly recommend that you…” He turned and glanced at Vega. Seeing her looking shy and blushing, he smiled knowingly. “I suggest you take your friend along and give it a try!” Vega grew a little embarrassed and awkwardly greeted him, “Hello, School Hunk!”

' she reasoned. A strange slimy liquid dripped on her face from the stalactites above her. Teresa was in trouble, and Rex could sense something was wrong. Teresa was so overwhelmed by the ominous presence that she couldn't even move when Rex barked at her to leave. She slowly raised her head and looked up. Thousands of chimeras hung above her, their backs sprouting worm-like creatures. "C-chimeras?! " she muttered. A loud shriek escaped the mouth of one of the chimaeras as it opened its eyes and looked down at Teresa.

A voice came from the distance. Soon, a woman in a white dress hurried over to him. James glanced at Xainte running toward him and chided her. “You’re already a Quasi-Emperor. Where are your manners?” Xainte explained frantically. “You don’t understand, Dad. Something happened!” Cocking his brow, James asked. “Oh? What is it?” “Aqua Realm has dried up!” screeched Xainte in alarm. “Aquazues?” James was slightly taken aback.

Offering my snarky remarks and ungenial comments. But it wasn’t anyone else. It was Sienna. The future Luna of this pack. And she was currently, very inelegantly, trying to run away from me. She seemed to have not rhought her escape route through properly however, when she came to an abrupt halt, cliging to the down pipe like her life depended on it. The looked about herself, apparently unsure what to do next. It was at that point that everything happened incredibly quickly. The one screw that held the pipe to the wall fell loose, quickly followed by the pipe breaking free from the bracket, and swinging down through the air in a wide ark towards the floor below.

Beast urged me worriedly, pacing like a caged animal at the back of my mind. I really don’t know what I could do in this situation to help her. “Xander.” Xyla suddenly moaned painfully; her body convulsed under the water. “Move.” I ordered them and jumped inside the bathtub, wrapping my hands around her waist under the water, merging my upper half inside the water. She immediately clung on to me by holding my shirt tightly. “She has no time, my queen. You already know what happened last night. My hunch is that that surge of energy inside her is the reason. Either her body is rejecting that or can’t absorb it completely.” I heard Roma arguing with Queen Rubella over the call.
