Tempering the urge to throw the phone away from himself, he scrolls down and sees different captions to the meme and one particular one by Ash Glam's Twitter page that reads "Undone assignments when they are due..." They had the guys to post it as well? They basically fueled the meme going viral. He goes back and checks the second hot topic. "Owner of B&F accused of Plagiarism right after Gail's death." He clicks on it and sees a news link and clicks on it as well.

Still, I could almost hear her voice in my head—teasing, warm, alive. Before I knew it, I was typing out a quick text: "How’s work, troublemaker? Don’t forget dinner tonight.” I hesitated for a second, then added a winking emoji. Ridiculous. But I sent it anyway. Because for once in my life, being ridiculous didn’t seem so bad.

" I ignored him. Group chat. 'Same time next week.' I wanted to ignore that one, but I put a thumbs up emoji. I couldn't risk them releasing the video before my finals. My whole junior year would be a waste if that happened. Fu8ck them. I would give them no emotion. They would get nothing from me except what I decided to give them.
