"That's a no. I see little tendrils. Almost like... Oh shit, she didn't." "What?" Eli blinked. Kali sighed. "Have Len come in. This isn't good." Kali sat between the two beds as she studied them. This looked like Abyssia's doing. When Len and Eli walked in, Kali sighed. "It's a case of abyssal toxemia narcosis." They both stared. "Right, you guys need classes here. It's an abyss disease that turns blood to poison and makes a body reject a gem. It's Abby's doing. She was using it to make puppets from these two."

, it couldn’t have been. “Fine, show me everything about him that made him as dark about him.” She said finding a spot on the ground. She knew asking that she was going to regret it. Closing her eyes she knew she was going to see something crazy. As she felt her body become lighter, she opened her eyes. Gage sat in the corner, it was bleeding and crying. I am Azura. The only goddess of two elements. Fire and water. Ooops...... Right introduction, wrong timing. **************** "This is not gonna be a great day". This was all I could say to myself. Somehow deep down, I could just feel that something huge was gonna happen today. It was the same gut feeling I woke up with the day I lost my parents to a ghastly car accident. I was a hundred and one percent sure, that crazy things are gonna happen today.

Hearing your thoughts and seeing what you can see… What's the difference? I did not reply. I merely showed her what the difference was. In front of Snowie's stunned gaze, I thrust my finger into my right eye and forcibly plucked my eyeball out. Of course, there would not be blood or gore. After all, my right eye was a prosthetic.

The transition was less a wrench and more a drowning. The humid, oxygen-rich air of Verdant Prime was ripped away, replaced by a crushing, cold pressure and absolute silence. Lyra’s eyes flew open to inky blackness, punctuated by faint, drifting specks of bioluminescence. Countless tentacles burst from the water, coiling around the light house. The lighthouse was crushed like a toy, and I fell with the debris. Weightlessness swallowed me whole. Was that it? Was I going to die? No. The instant I hit the water, something impossible happened. I did not drown. As cold water enveloped me, my gills started working overtime. I opened my eyes, and in the darkness, I saw it. The creature that was called the God of the Seas. He was so vast it was indescribable. Its countless eyes lit the darkness like a sky full of stars, looking down at me.

"It's originating from the floor of the Sunless Sea—ten miles beneath the surface trench. Something massive just tore through the ancient basalt seals at the bottom of the abyssal rift." The holographic projection expanded, displaying a real-time thermal render of the deep trench. A gargantuan, jagged shadow—easily three miles long—was slowly uncoiling from the subterranean magma vents, surrounded by a violent whirlpool of superheated water and black abyssal Qi. Commander Valerie stepped up beside Marcus, her hand resting on the hilt of her twin vanguard blades. "An abyssal creature? We cleared those trenches during the southern campaign."

It seeped into my hair, my eyebrows, my eyelashes, dripping into my eyes with a sting that felt like being written on from the inside. My vision blacked out. Not darkness—images. Rowan’s hands on my mother’s shoulders. Mara carving runes into moon-silver with a steady smile. The Hollow King’s throat mark burning. My copy sitting on the ash-throne, waiting. And then a new image—one I hadn’t seen yet: A room of mirrors. Me in the center. But each reflection had different eyes. One coal. One silver. One blue. One empty. And the reflections spoke at the same time, overlapping:

The air in the subterranean abyss didn't move; it suffocated. A mile below the surface, the Whispering Chasms stretched out like the gullet of a dead god—a terrifying, jagged fissure where reality itself seemed stretched thin. Black, glass-like quartz columns jutted from the walls at impossible angles, floating unnaturally above pools of swirling, iridescent pitch.
