Swirling clouds of pale violet mist rolled across the barren landscape, obscuring the horizon in a veil of perpetual shadow. My breath came out in heavy, freezing clouds. The nether decay in the air immediately began clawing at my skin, trying to drain the warmth from my veins, but the Abyssal Anchor against my chest pulsed, casting a protective, three foot sphere of warm sea-blue and golden light around my body. The aquamarine quartz crystal burned with absolute clarity, its internal beam of light pointing directly north across the jagged glass plains, toward a massive, towering silhouette of jagged obsidian spires rising into the dark sky.

With the burst, Abasha and I immediately veered our gazes to the scene down below… and then my heart skipped a beat. My gaze stretched with the sight I met… and I knew Abasha’s gaze did too, as below us was someone I didn’t think I would ever see again. — someone whose presence enkindled hope as she was tearing up the Ferals in godlike fashion with eyes glowing like crystals. “For Elyra.” The Abyss Heart’s core surges from crystal depths, claws of shadow slashing, eyes hollow voids, hum rattling bone. Its crystalline heart pulses, shadow-coils writhing within, screech splitting stone. Theryn’s vision deepens—Zynara binding a deeper cosmic entity, its form a void-wreathed star, runes sealing it. Their voice whispers, eyes bright. “It’s beyond the heart.” Kalia’s orb flares, aura steady, eyes distant, a vision seizing her—the Abyss Heart’s core, crystalline, tied to her orb, its light the key. “Aelys!” she gasps, fingers tightening, voice urgent. “It’s now!” I shield her, blade striking shadow-claws, sparks searing, Lena’s spark surging, hymn steady.

The magnet in their eyes kept them in place. "Can your men handle it? Or do you need me to do their work for them? Again?" Asia asked; a mocking tone persisted in his speech. All this while, still staring deep into Kamman's eyes, daring him. Kamman's ego finally reignited his resolve, and his eyes blinked once before pulling himself away from Asia's magnetic gaze. I murmured to myself, puzzled by the movement of the spirit. The ghost burst out laughing. He was giddy with anticipation for what he was about to accomplish. He pushed the vase up higher. The beast had no idea what was going to happen to him. "Well, if it's this dude, I won't mind if he gets murdered." Despite my astonishment, I felt relieved and free of regret.
