After My Last Breath

After My Last Breath

My heart pounds in my chest. What if she's right? What if we choose wrong? "Five seconds," the auctioneer says. "Damon?" Mom looks at me, her eyes wide with panic. "What do we do?" I don't know. I just don't know. "Time's up," the auctioneer declares. "All bids for Vial A, raise your paddles." "50 million," someone yells. "70 million," another follows. "500 million!" Everyone gasps and instantly turn toward the new voice.

Aria's Choice

Aria's Choice

I gave up and rushed to get into position before Scarlett came looking for me. Just as I make it to my placement, I watch as a young blonde girl walks through the curtain toward the stage. Her head is held high as she sways her hips seductively. I know that I am next up for the auction block; I’m also the last for the evening, the Gem, as Scarlett informed me earlier. The Auctioneer’s voice can be heard as she points out the ‘treasure’s’ attributes, and what the buyer’s money will be paying for. I hear the bidding start at fifty thousand just as Scarlett comes to stand beside me.

Great book with great characters. Lots of twists. Definitely another great book from Stacy Rush! Loved this one almost as much as her book My Bully’s Love. Sad to see this one end but it was well worth the wait and heartache in some scenes. Cannot wait for the next book from Stacy!

Best book ever! A roller coaster of emotions throughout, suspense and drama to keep you interested. Such a talented writer that no doubt has a great future. I can not wait to see what the future holds in the books written by this author.

My Father’s Enemy, My Obsession

My Father’s Enemy, My Obsession

Her hand starts to move— A warm, unyielding hand closes around her wrist, pinning it gently but firmly to the armrest. “Don’t,” a low voice murmurs by her ear. “Unless you want to leave here in pieces.” Damian Kade stands beside her row, close enough that she can see the cool edge in his storm-grey eyes. “Sold!” the auctioneer’s voice cuts through, gavel slamming. “To Seat A05.” Polite applause ripples through the room like tiny knives. On the screen, 25,000,000 freezes beside an anonymized code she knows belongs to him.

Auctioned for the Billionaire

Auctioned for the Billionaire

So when they announced the beginning of the auction and I saw four beautiful young women enter the stage, I couldn't believe what was about to happen right before my eyes. "I can't believe you dragged me to an auction of women, Aquiles!" I said, feeling very upset. I would never have agreed to take part in something as clumsy as what was about to happen at that moment. "You wouldn't have come if I had told you" Aquiles answered, scornfully. "Exactly! I can't collaborate with this in any way.” "Silence." The man sitting next to us said and I noticed that a woman who was acting as the auction host was introducing the beautiful young women.

The Vampire Prince's Slave

The Vampire Prince's Slave

The auctioneer said with a booming voice that echoed as he spoke. “Welcome to the night house, where else can you get slaves with top notch qualities?” The room erupted in laughter as if what he said was a joke. “Get comfortable as you decide what you will bid on.” The auctioneer had dragged Lucy to the front, she was shaking as Damien’s presence could no longer calm her down, the blood suckers in the room were looking at her with hungry eyes, and if it was possible to run she would have done it since.

His Auctioned Bride: Mafia's Ruthless Obsession

His Auctioned Bride: Mafia's Ruthless Obsession

I gasped as I was pushed into a massive stadium packed with people, many of them familiar faces from the elite industry. Someone put the blindfold on my eyes and whispered, "It's time to shine, my dear cousin." Then I heard her laughter, mocking me. "I'm gonna tear you apart, Danica," I whispered back. The auction's atmosphere pressed down on me, a suffocating weight of dread threatening to drown me in fear. I yearned to escape this personal hell but trapped as I was, I had no choice but to endure, clinging to the fragile hope that someone, anyone, would rescue me!

Alpha's Regret, His Rejected Luna is Hidden Heiress

Alpha's Regret, His Rejected Luna is Hidden Heiress

Ceres's POV The auctioneer’s voice broke the tension. “Twenty-four million, going once…” “Twenty-four million, going twice…” “Sold! Congratulations, Luna Laura, this pink diamond is yours!” My mum's smile remained unfazed as she took in Luna Sonia’s icy expression. As the event continued, Luna Sonia tried to mask her frustration by making smaller purchases—nine-million-dollar earrings, jewels meant to regain some semblance of control over the situation. Meanwhile, my mum moved with ease, purchasing more, her collection growing.

The Mate He Rejected

The Mate He Rejected

"Ten thousand from Luna Dreda. Do I have fifteen?" Dreda didn't lower her paddle. She stood up from her velvet seat, her crimson dress catching the light. She ignored the auctioneer entirely and turned her body to face me across the aisle. The entire room went dead silent, the collective focus shifting instantly from the stage to the brewing confrontation in the front row. "I bid ten thousand," Dreda repeated, her voice dripping with venom and a desperate need for a public spectacle. "Though I wonder if someone else in the room might want it more. After all, it is a piece of the life they never quite managed to keep."

My Family Auctioned Everything, So I Put My Life on the Block

My Family Auctioned Everything, So I Put My Life on the Block

The year my sister turned fifteen, my father, Grant Davis, became obsessed with holding auctions at home. Everything in the house, from a plate of meat to a turn with the washing machine, from school lunch money to after-school activity fees, had to be won by bidding with family credits. I worked odd jobs until I dropped, sleeping only three hours a night, and finally saved up a thick stack of family credits, the paper soft and warped from my sweat. All Melody had to do was sit on the couch and shed a few tears, and my father would stuff fistfuls of credits into her arms. "Girls deserve to be spoiled. Can't have Melody feeling left out." That day, the item up for auction was an old necklace

He wailed, I itched to say so many things to him, but I knew it wouldn't solve anything. “Just pray I see her. I'll be back here if I don't and I will not leave till I ensure that you stop breathing.” I informed him and made my way out of the house. ********************************************** “You see we have a quiet beautiful lady with fair and smooth skin on the stage, with her body perfectly shaped, so I will call the price now.” The auctioneer announced Making my head perk up, I looked at the lady I came here for and was enthralled by her beauty.
