The Beast Within Chapter 1 Novels & Stories

The pleasant evening breeze or the mixed scent of flowers it carried didn’t hold their attention. Giselle tried to feel the bond and failed. She’d been trying for the past few weeks. “Antonio, what happens after the first shift?” She asked, curious to figure out her son’s situation. “The beast is like an entirely different personality which lives inside you. The first time it shows up it is really hard to cling to your sanity, the beast thirsts for blood and meat. It will hunt and destroy anything in its path.” Antonio sighed as he recalled his first shift.

That’s when it goes black! I wake up with the strongest headache in the world. Did I drink last night? The brightness of the sun glared in my eyes. As soon as my eyes adjusted, I could see that I was in the forest, but it was different! The forest around me was leveled! There were scorch marks in the ground that looked like big footprints! The footprints looked inhuman. I looked at my hands and saw blood, but it wasn’t my blood! “What the hell?” I asked myself before I spotted Binx, he looked terrified! “Binx… what the hell…” I began to ask but then he let out a hiss, his fur fluffed up. “What the fuck?”

"O nami khwast badoon mulaqat ba shama barood." (She didn't want to leave without meeting you.) I didn't understand what was happening but except for my warranted fear, I felt invincible. Unconsciously I had buried my hands in his fur and stroked him. The beast halted and drew back. I held my breath in dread but he only observed me. Just when I thought I had seen enough unhinged phenomena to last me a lifetime the Beast brought his arm to his mouth and tore his flesh open. I screamed and struggled to get away from the Beast but instead, he pressed his bleeding arm on my face.

The spells within promised immense strength and near invincibility, but they also carried dire warnings of the cost. Ignoring the warnings, Lola decided this was her path to power. She began to recite the incantations, her voice low and filled with determination. The air around her crackled with dark energy as she chanted, and shadows seemed to come alive. The transformation was swift and brutal. Her body contorted and grew, pain searing through her veins. In moments, she was no longer human but the dreaded Beast of Gévaudan. With a roar that shook the forest, Lola-the-Beast tore through the walls of the archive, emerging into the night with newfound power and an insatiable hunger. She had b

Xavier's POV I had just reached home. As I entered the house, everyone either scurried away or bow their head at me in fear. Everyone knows the monster has awakened. Growls left my lips as I sped my way up to mine and Bella's room. As I enter the room her scent feels up my nostrils calming me up a bit. But as I took in the sight in front of me, I started to growl. It was as if there was a struggle. Things were messed up.

What the hell is happening here? “What the fuck?” I say. Is this some kind of prank that Victor’s decided to pull? He should know that we are not in high school anymore, and this kind of behaviour is nothing but stupid. I don’t understand what this means, but I know it’s nothing good. I don’t know what to do. Should I touch the book? Should I even go near it? What if something bad happens to me if I do touch the book? The book finally stops moving, and it stays on one page. There’s an image in the book. I look hard at what’s being portrayed, and it’s the image of a beast with large horns.

“And it smells… beautiful.” Kaerith’s teeth pressed together as her hands clenched into fists in her lap, forcing a trembling breath out. Even as Rhazien spoke, Kaerith felt something far worse watching from beyond the dark. She felt a pulse. A hunger. It wasn’t Rhazien. It was the other one—the one they called the Beast. His shadow stretched across the chamber as he stood, his armor creaking. “To the court,” he snapped. The Woundmaidens seized Kaerith’s chain and dragged her toward the door, through the twisting tunnels of Murnokh, past rusted gates and bone lanterns.

The full moon is my curse, my chain and my executioner. “Shit!” I curse out loud. I lift my head slowly, eyes drawn to the glow pouring across the floor. It touches me, and my body reacts instantly. My pulse spikes. My breath shortens. The beast inside me stirs. “Not tonight,” I whisper hoarsely. “Not…..” The rest of the words die in my throat as a sharp pain rips through my chest. My bones crack. My claws extend, curling like blades. My vision blurs at the edges until the world swims in shades of red and silver.

"What are you trying to do?" "What can I do?" Clayton shrugged. "I'm just a lowly beastkin." No sooner had the words left his mouth than he lunged at Salem. Terrified, Salem instantly shifted into his beast form. The black wolfhound instinctively lunged at Clayton, its sharp teeth sinking viciously into his arm. Clayton was knocked into the coffee table, shattering it with a sharp crack as glass shards scattered across the floor. Salem was stunned. He wasn't expecting Clayton's move to be a feint.

“It won’t last.” “I know.” Chucan joined us, his voice sharp. “This isn’t the time.” I didn’t respond. Because something inside me had already decided. The Beast thrashed violently, breaking through one of the magical bindings as if it were nothing more than smoke. One of the Darkbreeds was too slow. Too close. It struck him with a single swipe. And he didn’t get up. Something snapped inside me. Not my wolf. That was gone. Something else. Something human.
