I muttered, clutching my injured arm. *****I leaned against the rocky wall of the ravine, my breaths coming in short gasps. The beast still paced above, snarling as it tried to figure out how to get to me.“Okay, Kailey,” I whispered to myself, trembling. “You made it this far. Just keep calm. In two nights' time, the beast will be dead." **************** THE BEAST Within the forbidden chamber, bathed in the crimson glow of its recent feast, the beast lay sated. The taste of blood still lingered in its mouth, savoring the flavor as it basked in the afterglow of its carnal desires fulfilled. The beast's body shuddered. Chapter 141 – The Beast Arrives Diana’s POV The chains burned my wrists. My skin was raw where the silver touched me. My body was weak, shaking, but my eyes never closed. The storm outside grew louder. Thunder rolled across the sky, closer, stronger. And then—BOOM! The grand doors of the hall shattered, splinters flying, smoke rushing in. My breath caught. My heart stopped for a second. Xander. He walked through the broken doorway, his eyes glowing red, his chest rising and falling like a beast ready to kill. Steam rolled off his body, his aura filling every inch of the room like a storm.

This was it—the night I would break, the night I would be used and discarded like garbage. But just as despair consumed me, the impossible happened. A monstrous shadow exploded from the darkness, colliding with William in a blur of fur and fury. The impact was deafening, a sickening crunch as he was slammed to the ground. I screamed, my voice raw with shock. The beast—massive, with eyes like burning coals—vanished into the night as quickly as it had appeared, leaving William’s crumpled form behind.

The words tore from my chest in a roar that bounced off the stone walls, rattling the chains until sparks of blue magic flared along the runes. The air thickened with power, the familiar pressure of the curse descending. My muscles trembled as the first tremors of the shift ignited beneath my skin. Heat bloomed, searing, relentless. It started as a low burn in my bones and then erupted, a wildfire racing through veins that no longer felt human. The beast stirred. I clenched my jaw until my teeth ached, fighting the inevitable. “Not yet,” I snarled, though the command was meaningless. The beast never listened. It only hungered.

The beast stops growling and changes his stance from fierce to a bow. His head is now bent down, and he motions to me as if he's trying to tell me to get on top. When I don't move the beast stands back up and growls like he's telling me to get on or else. I do as the beast says and slowly approach him to climb on top. Being unable to steady myself on top of him, I grab hold of his fur and hold on tight. At first, riding the beast was like riding a horse until it started to run

Its eyes glowed red. Alexander's expression changed. "That's not a normal wolf." "No." My mother appeared behind us. "It's a blood beast." "What is that?" "A creature created from forbidden magic." The beast roared. Wolves around us fell backward. Alexander stood. "I'll handle it." "No." He looked at me. "I can feel its mind." His expression hardened. "And?" "It's afraid." The beast charged. I stepped forward. Instead of attacking, I reached into its mind. Pain hit me.

The Beast's eyes blazed with a fierce intensity, its gaze burning into my soul like a branding iron. I screamed, but my voice was drowned out by the Beast's deafening roar, a sound that shook the very foundations of the room. Its jaws opened wide, revealing rows of razor-sharp teeth, ready to deliver the final blow. I closed my eyes, waiting for the end, but it never came. Instead, the Beast's grip on my shoulders tightened, its claws digging deeper into my skin. I opened my eyes to find the Beast's face inches from mine, its eyes blazing with a fierce hunger. Its hot breath washed over me, making my skin crawl. …

It gives him a few seconds before the hounds decide attacking is their best move. They might have gained some newfound intelligence, but Beast is smart and has had years of practice. Our eyes carry bloodlust, our bodies made for killing. Beast's claws rake a wide path across one throat and chest. It's not a killing blow, but the hound lists to the side and the other jumps around him. It's almost like he's protecting the hurt creature. Beast lets out a growl that rumbles clear to our feet and charges head-on. We clash and the hound goes to the ground with Beast on top. We grab his neck within our crushing jaws and crunch bone. The other hound lands on top of us, his snapping jaws taking a bit
