The night in the forest was not the end. The fire inside Silas was now so big that it was glowing through his skin. As they walked back to the castle, the stone walls began to turn red. The curse was at its highest point. This was the final stage. The book in the library had said that on this night, the Beast would either burn away or find a way to stay forever. Silas carried Elara into the basement one last time. This was where it had all started. The room was hotter than a kitchen oven.

Not physically shifting. But lending strength. Something inside her responded. It wasn’t just muscle. It was power. The mark on her skin burned. The world seemed to tilt for a fraction of a second. The flames flickered not outward, but inward, as if pulled by an unseen force. Then the beam lifted. Not dramatically. Not unnaturally. Just enough. The trapped wolves scrambled free. Lira stumbled back, heart racing. What had she just done? She didn’t have time to process it.

“Come on!” With a burst of strength, Sofia snapped the chains, the silver burning her skin as they fell away. She stumbled to her feet, her vision swimming, but she didn’t hesitate. She could feel the hunters’ eyes on her, hear their shouts as they turned their weapons toward her. Sofia moved instinctively, her body reacting faster than her mind. She dodged a hunter’s blade, her newfound strength allowing her to take him down with a single blow. Her nails elongated into claws, her senses sharpening further as the transformation continued to overtake her.

One massive paw pinned me down, crushing my chest, his fangs bared, ready to end it. My vision dimmed. Everything was fading. And darkness swallowed me whole. The last thing I heard was Diana’s voice, distant and shattered: “A BEAST! A BEAST IS INSIDE!” Then— silence.

Zaza understood why and was disappointed as she answered me” He has not turned yet. Suspicion crept into my mind. “Where’s Alpha Jo?” I asked. “I haven’t seen him,” Zaza said, shaking her head. “We need to go, Ava. Now.” We hurried through the corridors, my mind racing with possibilities. Who had let the Beast into the town, and why wasn’t he being detained? The answers seemed to point towards a deeper conspiracy, one that I had only begun to unravel. As we approached the Town Square, the air was thick with tension. A crowd had gathered, forming a wide circle around the Beast. He stood there, a menacing figure of raw power, his eyes scanning the crowd with a predatory gleam.

I shook her. “Esme, wake up.” Nothing.“Wake up!” I shook her harder. “Please, baby, wake up. Please!” But she did not move. The world felt empty. I screamed. A broken, painful scream that echoed through the mansion. And then Damien’s voice rang out behind me. “This is what happens when you touch Divine.” Silence filled the room. But deep inside me, something woke up. Something dark. Something wild. They had just released a beast.

It was strong. Outside, the wind howled through the canyons, screaming like a thousand ghosts. But inside the tent, in the circle of their warmth, there was only the quiet breathing of two monsters learning how to be human. End of Chapter 15

Anything would have been better than the constant torment and torture my body was going through. But then the cavern grew even brighter than before, and I wanted to curse the Goddess for what she was putting me through. Killian glanced up before backing away slowly, and I let out a whimper at the distance. I couldn't tell if it was horror or awe in his wide eyes. The glowing red of his beast was focused on the Earth around me, and I began to convulse. My mind was under attack as I felt my wolf fighting for control against the unknown creature inside me.

Wolfe I kept following the scent and eventually I neared a blood trial. It seemed like Beast was trying his best to cover his tracks and at some point he couldn't control the hunger. It surprisingly led me all the way to the caves leading to the old temple. It took me inside the facility and there I found Beast inside one of the cells, drinking from a blood bag like it was his last supper. "You've got to be kidding me," I grumbled and walked to him. "What the fuck are you doing here?"

"Hardly unarmed, My Dragon." "Time to go home, My Beastly Biker." She smirked up at him, then turning, she walked to the other side of the car to get in.
