I pulled on that dark feeling inside me, tugging on the string of power that was in me now. Another icy shard appeared in my hand, and I hurled it toward Gunner. He dodged to the side, missing the spear, and then charged toward me. I didn’t even need to think about it now, the weapons just came to my hands as I thought of them. I leaned on my back foot and steadied my feet, then I hurled dagger after dagger at Gunner. One hit his shoulder, but it didn’t slow his charge. Just three steps from reaching me he dropped his shoulder and poised to shoulder barge right into me. I summon

I sigh and pick up the large hunting knife. "How much do you like your fingers?" I ask him. His hands are retrained to the arms of the wooden chair so I could easily take a finger off. He doesn't answer so I grab his hand a force his little finger out, pressing the sharp edge against the skin until a drop of blood forms. I can see him trembling but he doesn't speak, so I push the knife down quickly and slice clean through his finger. He screams again and there is more blood but he still won't talk. "This is just the beginning unless you talk to me."

He then slowly proceeds to walk closer to it – my mind racing , wondering on what he is going to do ; what if the creature realises what he is doing and attacks before he does. The beast steps forward , growling at Xavier as he blocks the creatures view from me. The beast leaps , the force he of his body knocks the sword out of my husbands hands , making both me and Britney scream in horror as the beast now stands over him. He raises his paw , extending his long claws and then slashes my husbands face. His pained grunt makes the cave echo , and makes my heart shut down as I fear his death. “Neko!!” A person’s voice catches the attention of every body , even the monster on Xavier.

My parents were so disfigured in the attack that the coffin lids remained closed when they were buried. I struck again and again. My breathing got harder and harder. Sweat came on my forehead. My heart beat like a barrage. I pressed the knife in the leg sheath against my thigh with the familiar weight. The gun was in its holster around my shoulders. Everything was as always and yet very different.

I barely dodged her next strike; her blade grazed my arm, shallow but deep enough to sting. I didn’t think much of it, until the pain changed. I let out a painful gasp as I felt something crawling through my skin. It spread fast. Burning, cold, wrong. I looked down and my stomach dropped. The skin around the cut was turning black, veins darkening like ink under the surface. “What the hell…” I stumbled back, clutching my arm. The blackness crept up toward my shoulder. Paige smirked. “Oh, you didn’t know? My blade’s been tempered with dark metal. Nasty thing, it kills from the inside out.”

His voice was low enough that only Grey could hear it, though his next actions were loud. “You’ve gone soft since Blackwood,” he said, spit-laced. “What happened to the heir who slit throats and didn’t sleep until his enemies were ghosts?” He pulled something from his pocket ... a hunting silver blades, gleaming like a promise ... and held it out as if offering charity. “You know what to do.” Grey’s hand hovered over the knife. It trembled. “You’ll do it yourself,” the Beta said, each word a coal. “Or I’ll do it for you. I won’t watch the pillar of my pack fall because you clutch onto some crazy love sick stuff”

He placed a blade on his skin and created a cut. “With this blade and with blood mixing with blood, I ask that the moon goddess bless this transfer of power, for the pack has a Luna once more.” He created the same cut on my skin, I barely flinched. He held out cuts together, there was a rush of voices in my head and pack bonds begun to snap into place. It was a sensation that left me feeling dizzy but I was still standing. “All hail Wren Blackthorn, Luna of the black moon pack.”
