He goes away while I'm staring at everyone, trying to keep myself busy with my thoughts even though I feel out of place. He returned with a canned drink; we found a spot to see and finally sat. I suck at starting up a conversation; instead, I focus on scrolling through my phone while Daniel discusses it with the rest of the people sitting with us; it's a table of four. Then everywhere goes silent; the author of the book goes to the stage, and behind the stage is a projector displaying the book with animation that accompanies it. Titled, “When I broke free”It's a middle-aged woman, possibly in her late 40s.She begins.

## Author's Note Hello everyone, I am incredibly grateful that you have taken the time to delve into my book “Caged by Him.” Your time and attention are invaluable, and I want to express my heartfelt thanks for allowing my story to be a part of your day. Writing this book has been a journey filled with passion, creativity, and a few challenges along the way, and I’m thrilled to share it with you.

The room was very still. “I started writing it the morning after my second wedding the one I chose rather than the one I was given. I was standing in a cottage in Hudson Valley with a notebook and I wrote three pages before Adrian woke up and I understood, somewhere in the middle of the third page, that this was going to be a book and not just a notebook.” I paused. “I want to tell you what kind of book it is. Not what the back cover says you’ve read that. What I think it actually is.”

“How?” He straightened and walked away from the bed, toward a small table by the wall. On it were books. Old books. Thick, with worn covers and faded pages. He picked one up. “Because I have been planning this for a very long time,” he said. “Long before you ever knew his name.” I stared at the book. “Planning what?” “You.” The word landed heavy in the room. Me. “I don’t believe you,” I said. “You’re insane.”

I wandered the aisles without a goal, pulling books out just to feel their weight. One caught my eye. Not new. Not flashy. A quiet title with worn edges. I bought it without overthinking. At home, I cooked dinner slowly, the book resting unopened on the table like it didn’t need immediate attention. I ate, cleaned up, and finally sat down on the couch, legs tucked under me, flipping to the first page. I didn’t read much. I kept thinking about the email. About how calm I felt sitting beside something that would have once demanded immediate action.

Garrett The clearing is exactly as I remembered from my scouting trip yesterday. Secluded, peaceful, with a small stream running along one edge. I've set up blankets, cushions, and most importantly—a stack of books. Iris stops when she sees it, hand flying to her mouth. "You did all this?" Her voice is soft with wonder. "I wanted it to be special." I guide her to the blankets. "And I found something I thought you'd like." I hand her the top book. It's old, leather-bound, with gilt lettering. "Advanced Theories in Shield Construction and Consciousness-Based Magical Architecture."

“Messing about?” “It means just wasting my time.” “Show me.” “No,” I screech, alarmed. His eyes narrow. “What are you hiding, little butterfly?” “I’m just writing a little story.” “A story?” “Like a book?” I try to explain. His whole face relaxes. “You’re writing a book?” “Well, not exactly a book. Okay, yeah. It’s a book. But I’m not very good and I’m not expecting to publish it, or anything. I’m just writing for fun. It’s just a meaningless jumble. Just random thoughts. I’m not thinking—”

However, it is clear that from the days of yore, these two kinds have always come up with one sinister plot or another. I do not know how Arthur acquired this book but this is a personal book that I am sure was not given out willingly. In actual fact, this book is written like a journal. In it, different projects where the two kinds sort to work with each other, are recorded. I suck in my breath and adjust my posture.

Twice in a week I get to work and direct the miners on what to do, tomorrow is one of those days I get to do that, so enough rest is needed in order to be energized to do so. After having my bath and had dinner, I relaxed on my comfy couch in my living room with my iPad pro in hand. I search through my P*F files to pick one of the inspirational books I'd downloaded few days ago. Then my mind wanders off to Antonio words: "Is not really the matter of being a softy dumbass. I just find the story similar to what happened to you. I'm dead serious! You've got to read this book, perhaps after reading you can tell me if I was wrong or right".
