The Book Academy Novels & Stories

“This is relatively small. You should see the BookExpo America at the Jacob Javits Center in New York City. That one is about three times the size, but for your debut, I believe this event is perfect. You’ll have a better opportunity to talk to people who are interested in your book and not just looking for freebies.” “I’m a bit out of my element here, Anna. Publishing the book is the final step to my getting tenure. I really wasn’t prepared for this type of public contact. My seminars are usually attended by academics or students who have to attend the class for their degrees. I’m a bit nervous.”

She gathers her thoughts and breathes slowly to stabilize her breathing. -- Alicia is done checking a book in the left wing corner of the shelves. She is disappointed that she can't find the book she needs. It was an assignment from the academy in her Theology subject, that's why when she invited Elise to go to the capital it was in her plan to stop by at the bookstore. Alicia thinks that maybe the book she needed is in the higher shelves but she did not bring her passes so it was impossible to access it. For now, Alicia will just go to Elise and ask her if she wants to buy a book.

Noah raised a question. " Most of them won't buy it so we are telling at last everything is done." She smirked. " Whatever I will go. Here goes nothing." I signed the paper without hesitation. Jacen and Noah after I did. " Now your life isn't our responsibility. let's see you in Academy," she said putting her specs and brought us three bags full of books. " Will you be in the Academy?" Noah asked hoping she won't come. " Yes, Iam the librarian. The new Academic year isn't started yet. I will be there, once it begins." she replied and buried her face in a book and acted like there's nobody in the store except her.

With the type of students I've seen here, if any of them get their hands on these books, this academy will be razed down. If Roxie were here she'd want to read a bit of everything before she leaves. She loves gathering new information as though they were gold. ‎ ‎As I move deeper, the air gets colder and I can't help but feel anxious. What if something from underneath the shelves suddenly grabs my leg, trying to pull me into their world. This is a paranormal academy, anything can happen, especially in a restricted area. I tap my head, chiding myself. “Stop thinking of weird things Ivy. Think of flowers, the Ebon Testament, stealing candies from Roxie's secret stash, tripping Luciana in front

“What… what are you talking about?” The man turned to me, assessing me like one might a wild animal before deciding how best to break it. “A different punishment,” he said. “We’ll send you to the academy.” “What academy?” I asked. The Beta smiled. “Prescot Academy. The finest institute for our kind. It’s filled with shifters. Magic-wielders. Beasts in need of taming.” Even though I was a rogue, I knew Prescot Acedemy. Who didn’t? it was the most popular academy in the continent. It was prestigious and meant for the elite alone. Why they hell did they want to send me there>

"Is this a romantic rendezvous or a study session?" We both jumped. Cornelius had appeared on our table, his stone wings folded primly behind him. "Study session," I said quickly, yanking my hand away from Kieran's. "Good. Because this library is not a hookup spot for hormonal supernaturals." The gargoyle fixed us with a stern glare. "Now start reading. Actually reading. I can tell the difference." My cheeks burned as I looked down at the book I'd grabbed. It was thick and leather-bound, with pages that felt ancient under my fingers. The cover read "Nocturne Academy Graduating Class of 1995."

Alone at Blood Moon Academy is just alone with better architecture. What I'm not used to is the staring. They're subtle about it, most of them. Quick glances that slide away the moment I look up. Whispered conversations that stop just long enough to be obvious. But every supernatural in this room can feel my magical signature the same way I can feel theirs, and mine is wrong in a way that makes their instincts itch. I open my notebook and start reviewing my morning classes. Combat Theory. Supernatural History. Pack Dynamics and Modern Law. A full schedule with no partners, no study group, no assigned seat that isn't already surrounded by empty chairs. Draven's work is thorough. I'll give him

“I hate this academy.” “Everyone does,” Soreya said. “The successful ones just learn to hate it productively.” They left the Hollow Residence together and crossed the lower path toward the central medical wing. The academy looked different in this false morning light. Less haunted at first glance, more architectural. The black stone towers rose against the dim crimson sky, and the silver-veined paths glimmered beneath their feet.

I despise him so much and it is so hard to hide from this world when you know that every corner of this Academy is shouting Cayden's name. We just went to the shelves and I looked for a book to read because. I was thoroughly checking the books when I touched a book and it felt like I was suddenly electrocuted so I immediately let go. Shit, is this what they call static? I was curious, I looked at the book and I raised my hand again to touch it and this time I was not electrocuted. I took the book and looked. It is a brownish color book with moleskin. It looks old but still, it is in a good condition. I just read the title of the book.
