She looked up and smiled as I approached, and we exchanged warm hellos. As we sat down, Sarah began to explain why she was interested in adapting my book into a movie. We finally entered the bookstore and I let go of his arm. “A-ahm, I don’t want to huddle there” I answered sparingly. A book caught my attention and I was amazed that they are selling this book. “Gosh! My favorite series!” I get the Twilight book. Gio followed me and observed the book as well. “I’ve already watched it” He bragged. I narrowed an eye at him. “Book version is still the best. The feels and emotions are there when you’re reading it” I answered. “But the movie adaptations are easy to understand since you don’t need to use your imagination anymore,” He said frankly.

And beside the girl is what looks like a red picnic cloth, with neatly folded man’s clothes and shoes on top of it. I read through 269 pages of the book. I have watched the movie like years ago, and I honestly think movies often tell the story a little differently as compared to the book version. Just like Nicholas Sparks, A Walk to Remember, the story is somehow dissimilar as compared to Mandy Moore’s movie version of the book.

He yelled, and I cringed at how angry he was. "Hey, man, chillax," Liam said calmly to his twin. "I don't know where the hell you hear that from. Sexy times ensue. Major issue that provides the crux of the plot device. Happy ending." I laughed as I was trying to blow on the bite of chicken stuck to the end of my fork. "So we're watching the movie why?"

He scanned the cover, thumb following the title, then back at her. "Why this one?" "It's a book about sadness," she told him quietly. "But not the kind that cries out. The kind that settles into the space between us." Some dark, wordless flicker showed behind his eyes. He nodded once, palming the book into his coat pocket as if it was evidence in a case he wasn't ready to break yet.

Everything else in the movie was just over the top for me. I sit back and open the book. With the book in hand and some music playing in the background I was soon transported into my own world. I don't know why, but as soon as I picked up a book to start reading, the whole world around me can go up in flames and I would not even realize it. This is why my mom banned me from reading at home.

I asked passing Ivan his plate and getting comfortable on the couch. “Teen romance, movie adaptation from a book-“ “Say no more, I love love love book movies especially when it’s about high schoolers!” I said excitedly. “High school in movies and books -books especially- are way way better than real life” I ranted more in excitement. “Alright Nuts, your excitement wins” he laughs and plays the movie. “Yuppie yayyy! Book moviee!” I laughed loudly. “Come here, come closer” Ivan pats the space beside him and I scoot over leaving a little bit of space between us and Ivan puts his arm around my waist and pulls me closer that I find myself half on his laps and half on the couch.
