I protested to my parents in either skipping the school or transferring to another school but they forced me to be here as this is the only school which is best. I reserved a place in one of the seats available though nobody was there. I kept my bag and went in search of a nice book. I went to the thriller books section and searched for a book, perfect for reading at this moment. ‘The black coffee’ by Agatha Christie, the great author, caught my eyes as I wanted to read this book for a very long time but I didn’t get to.

The nurse handed it to her. She tried to turn the pages but doubled over with a fit of coughing. She pressed the thick book against her thin chest and told the nurse to go rest. The nurse hesitated, worried, but Thalia assured her she felt all right tonight. Once the nurse left, Thalia read a few pages. Later, she pushed the covers back and slowly made her way to the vanity. Just a few steps left her gasping for air.

Does that sound familiar?” I snarled. “What are you talking about?” I snarled, fighting the urge to pounce and tear him to pieces. “Did your father not give you the book? It smelled of rank B&O and stale fries. When he got to his feet, he was a little dizzy, but that wasn’t going to stop him. That is when he came across an old leather-bound book with strange writing across it. He saw the pictures of a crystal cross that had emeralds lined down the middle. Well, that helped Thomas understand why the cross ended up being very important but why did he have a piece of it?

I had never been kissed so plainly yet with so much emotion. My heart seemed to stop. Time seemed to slow, and when I opened my eyes the thief was gone, only the feeling of mild static on my lips, and the book was where our hands had connected.
