The Demon's Mate

The Demon's Mate

The chamber was dimly lit, the air thick with an unsettling silence that hung like a shroud over the gathered assembly. A heavy book lay open on the table, its pages empty, yet it seemed to pulse with a hidden power, as if waiting for the right moment to reveal its secrets. Around the book stood a group of figures, their faces obscured by the darkness that clung to the corners of the room. Each of them carried the weight of their master's will, and none dared speak as they awaited the signal.

Worth Waiting For

Worth Waiting For

She remembered her refusal to sign the marriage agreement between her and Vincent, almost drowning, then meeting Landon’s brothers. Anything beyond that is blank. “What happened?” She questioned again. The woman looked at her with her mouth gaped open, words frozen in her throat. Brooklyn gave her what she hoped was an encouraging look. She wanted answers. “Umm, let me get them,” she mumbled softly instead. The woman stood, set her book on the stand next to Brooklyn’s bed, and softly padded out the door. That was strange. A few seconds barely passed before a stampede came barging through her room.

I can't open this book. I've already paid for it and now I can't open it to read it again. I noticed that the first one "Worth Fighting For " has this one attached but wants me to pay for the attached chapters and I already did. Sorry but I'm pissed.

Another amazing story in this series! Again, I wish we could’ve gotten a little more at the end on the progression of their relationship, but otherwise I loved this story! So far have read the first two within 24 hours lol about to knock out the 3rd, too. Great job author! 😊

Waiting for Something That Never Came

Waiting for Something That Never Came

A creeping air clung to him, instinctively making others uneasy. "You shouldn't have kept your husband waiting for so long." That was the first thing he said after entering the room. "But this is our first meeting, and you don't know my rules. I'll forgive you."

Your Waiting Arms

Your Waiting Arms

It was the first time I'd ever refused her. She was so understanding. Maybe she knew something, but she didn't ask any questions. She obediently let me take her hand, and we walked out of the hospital together. Everything should've been back to normal, but my heart was racing. I suppressed my swirling emotions and held Louisa's hand as we lined up at the boarding gate. Suddenly, a low, steady man's voice came from behind me. "Rowena, are you going to keep running?" I turned around stoically. Ewan stood less than three feet away, looking windswept and wet from the light rain. A few drops slid from the damp fringe on his forehead.

The Uncharted Husband and His Wife

The Uncharted Husband and His Wife

"Please be patient, this young sir is indeed purchasing items from this book shop and will be done soon." The women felt offended that they were told to wait. They were about to miss the bus ride home and needed to purchase a few books for their reading club. One who seemed to be the leader said, "I will not wait! This store is big enough for all of us to fit inside. If he leaves you will make more money from us buying our books than him just picking and choosing."

Cannot Wait For Him Turning Back

Cannot Wait For Him Turning Back

That night, Matthew sat on the kitchen floor until morning. It was the first time he had ever looked so defeated. In the past, no matter how late he came home, there was always a light waiting for him. There was always someone sitting on the couch, quietly waiting for him. That was all gone. The big house felt empty, and he was the only one left waiting for daylight. The next morning, Matthew did not bother to change his clothes. He went straight to the office.

Chasing His Divorced Wife

"The book knows." "Trust it." "I do." She paused. "It's strange though. Feeling the book wait." "It's not the book waiting," he said. "It's you. The book is ready. You need the experience first." She looked at him. "That's more accurate," she said. "Systems again." He almost smiled. "I understand waiting for the right conditions." "The omelette." "The burner needed to be right." "The fourteenth is my burner," she said. "And then the chapter."

The Substitute Bride: Banished with the Alpha's babies

The Substitute Bride: Banished with the Alpha's babies

I uttered, staring into blank space as I leaned my chin on my knuckles again. ~ Night had fallen, and i was still occupying myself with this particular business book which had caught my fancy for a while, now. I needed to get my mind off the current situation at home, just so I could wait for the next day when things would be resolved, and I would know what’s next. Apparently, waiting until tomorrow seemed like I had to wait for seventy-two hours, so it was only wise to occupy my mind with something interesting, and intriguing. “Do you mind lending me this book once you’re done with it?” I heard a child-like voice from nowhere, and I had to bring down the book from my face to see who was pro

Waiting For Patry

Waiting For Patry

Though, it's worth all the effort after passing the CPA board exam so it's okay to invest in books like these. Because for me, I will buy the books when I really need them. When I reach college, I will take the BSA course so maybe I'll just buy the book there because I need it. Maybe it's because I may be mistaken to have another edition of the book as well as the author, which I bought which is not required and referenced by the instructor. I looked at my phone again to check if Sera had a message and saw that there was one. I went out of the bookstore and I saw her.
