KHRYSTYANNA'S POINT OF VIEW I went to the library where no one is interested to calm down. But who would have thought that the man who is in the last spot of the list that I want to see is here. I am a bit drowsy because of the books I read. These books that contain ancient texts and are so thick piqued my interest that made me read them at a fast pace with a satisfactory smile on my face. I didn't realize that when I closed my eyes for a bit for a quick nap, the book would slip out from my hand and it'd fall from where I am.

Three small desks with chairs were in three of the corners and I wondered who worked there. What did they do there? There were so many books that I would never be able to do any work in this place. I would sit by the fire and read all the time. I walked over to one of the shelves and started to read some of the titles. There were books ranging from biographies to fairy tales and I made up my mind that I would never be able to work in this place.

Sleep refused to come. My mind felt restless. Maybe there was something in this room that could help me remember. Slowly, I stood up. I began looking around. The bookshelf immediately caught my attention. Dozens of books filled the shelves. I pulled several out. There were history books, pack law books and training manuals. Then I noticed something else. There were fiction novels; thrillers, mysteries and crime novels. I blinked. Apparently, I enjoyed those. "I don't remember reading any of these."

"But that is the purpose of it. Books are designed to give you a wide sense of imagination. They were created so all of us can see beyond the physical world. I am not a good reader but I still can't stop myself from reading a lot of books about keeping calmness in my heart. I need to take time. I remember the small room I entered last time. I slowly opened the door and turned on the lampshade. The books on the table were still scattered. I tried to look and read each one of them. These are all interesting books. Into the Wild by Jon Krakauer, The Prince by Niccolo Machiavelli, The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald, and a lot more. I tried to find something that might help me, but I found nothing.

Permit me to say this but I don't think I will regret staying here…. The book clearly covered my face as I tried to find my way through an empty desk. Florida could only laugh at my silly attitude. She just won't understand so I laughed along with her. Dropping down the books, I heaved in relief. "Fifty Shades Of Grey," I read out, caressing the book cover. I'm definitely reading all these. The books on the shelf were neatly arranged but the frayed edges and the little tears on the bottom of most of the books gave out that they’d been read a couple times. Adrian didn't particularly strike me as someone who would love to read but I guess you can't always judge a person by their outward appearance. I traced my fingers along the spines, the titles ranging widely from classic literature, to mindset guides then to business strategy books. I'm gonna choose one to three books only, I can't handle reading multiple books at a time. I walk through the billionaire genre sub-section which is clearly inscribed on the long shelf admiring each book I see. I pick up each of the books the book cover and title attracts me to scan through, for some attempting to scan through the main body to check if there's anything that interests me. At last I end up taking down with me three books, which suit my taste at this particular time. How I yearned for the good old days when I hopped about the bookshop, checking for story books and picking the ones with the most colorful and captivating covers and titles. It was so much fun and It was definitely in my plans for my future kids when I had my own family. I read books to escape reality, to keep myself busy, to keep my mind off overthinking, and to improve my vocabulary and speech. I flipped my fingers over the books, deliberating on which would be my read for the weekend. I had all seven books in the Harry Potter series and I had read only three. With the aid of my thumb and my index fingers, I picked out the book, ‘Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.’
