“Do not worry about her,” Brandon murmurs, not without a small smirk. “She is the lady whose word commands dragons; she can take care of herself.”
And as Mary watches with wide eyes, Brandon, too, climbs up Perseus’s back. With a powerful beat of Perseus’s wings, heavy enough to kick up swirling clouds of dust and force Mary to shield her eyes as her hair whips in her face, they’re gone.
