My hands began to glow faintly with violet light as shadows curled around my fingers like obedient serpents. Chaos’s voice echoed softly in the darkness. “Do you feel it?” The shadows trembled in response to my breathing. “The world believes the void is empty.” A pause. “But the void remembers everything.” Chaos tilted its head slightly. “And now…” The darkness pulsed with my heartbeat. “…so do you.” The shadows continued pouring into me. Cold and ancient, they slid beneath my skin like living smoke, filling the spaces in my bones, my breath, my thoughts. My body trembled as the void settled deeper and deeper within me.

Kiera’s POV The library became my second home. The witch arrived with ancient texts I’d never seen before, written in languages that hurt to look at. The pack’s mystics joined us, along with scholars from allied territories who’d studied cosmic phenomena. “The Voidborn are entropy given consciousness,” the witch explained, pointing to illustrations that seemed to shift and change on the page. “They exist as the opposite of creation. Where life builds and grows and connects, they unmake and erase and separate.”

That night, Caitlin stayed in her room and after an hour, she dropped the sacred book on the table and held a torn-out page close to the burning fire. Her breath shuddered as she stared at a picture of herself in the paper she held and confusion was written all over her face. She does not understand how she is connected to the book or what was written in it but one thing she knows is that, it is not her, but her own child. From everything she read and understood, it says that she is the key and her child will be the savior of mankind when evil is near. She has to offer her own child to save all mankind, including their own kind.

Void proclaimed arrogantly and relaxed comfortably on the chair. I was finally able to understand the whole fucked up problem with Stephan's secret alter ego. Mr. Void was anchored into Stephan's psyche due to the trauma he had experienced throughout his childhood till adulthood. I had a feeling that Mr. Void was not going anywhere for a while. He was here to stay. He was the other side of the coin on Stephan's fractured mind. I could not help but feel sorry for him. Mr. Void stood up and walked around the therapy room, blood still in his nose, and inspecting the pictures and ornamental flowers. He walked to the books on the shelves and trailed his fingers on them.

Letting out a sigh I grab Kayla by the hand and lead her from the closet. "Come on. I have a lot to fill you in on."

*Theo's POV* I blinked my eyes open, finding myself in a dimly lit room surrounded by mysterious figures dressed in dark robes. I felt really confused and didn't know what was happening. I tried to move but couldn't because I realised I was tied to a bed. The pain from my injuries reminded me of what had happened before. I started to feel scared and wondered where I was and who the mysterious people around me were. One of the people, an older woman with silver hair, approached me with a gentle smile. "Welcome, Theo," she said, her voice soothing yet tinged with an air of authority. "You are in the sanctuary of the Black Healers. We've been waiting for you."

It was black and contained the rotten, heartless bodies of the vampires Tuhin has devoured. Suddenly, my pendant began to glow an eerie blue, and a sound of chanting was heard. We were trapped from all sides.
