Elowen POV. The leather sofa in VIP Room Three still held the warmth of the last client. I could feel it through the thin crimson silk barely covering my body as I adjusted my position, making sure every angle was perfect. The jeweled mask sat secure against my face, catching the low amber light, hiding everything that mattered while showing everything that didn't. My red hair fell in waves over my bare shoulders. No brown wig or oversized cardigan swallowing my curves tonight. Tonight, I was Nyx, and Nyx didn't hide.

He sighed and brushed his hand in his hair the other hand resting in his pocket and he stopped smiling and said in a deep voice, “Seeing you now is risking my life, you know my first name and for the first time I am not afraid to take such a step.” He turned to me and this time he looked straight in my eyes and he continues, “I will try and come back here to see you. But if I can’t and you can recognize me without my mask when we meet once again, then I won’t hesitate to be yours forever. This I promise.”

I give myself one last check, in my long black satin dress with slits at the sides and green eyeshadow, emerald green earrings and the necklace with a green pendant which came as a pair. This must have cost a fortune, I wonder how many lives the cost of this set would change. My phone rings, cutting me from my thoughts. I smile when I see Hillary's name flashing on the screen. "Hi," I answer enthusiastically. "Please tell me you're going, Maria won't be able to attend,she cancelled at the last minute." "Of course I'm going g," I confirm as I reapply lipstick on my lips. "Thank God," she sighs. "I'm leaving now,see you there." Then she hangs up.

Sneaky glared at him, and he shut his mouth, “Miles, what is your celebrity name?” “Masketer!” Owen exclaimed like a clown. “Mask Man” Chang Mang commented, Miles touched his nose, and Sneaky protested “no way” Owen's face fell, “why?” With a straight face, Sneaky replied, "they sound scary” Owen “_” Chang Mang “_” Miles replied, "Mora's mask” Sneaky's hand froze on the cursor, Miles turned around, and entered his mother's room, he retrieved the mask and wore it.

After posing for the paparazzi I resumed walking towards the entrance, then one of the staff gave me a grey mask. I gently smiled and I gladly accepted the mask and put it on. Once I entered the venue, the building is filled with high-profile people. I can see some of my business partners, models, politicians, and many more. Then I spotted Dominique and Elena. I immediately walk towards them, Elena is wearing a Blue mermaid gown with a gold mask, while Dominique is wearing a Black suit with a gold belt and heels and Dominique's mask is also gold. Elena spotted me and immediately smile.

They were all already wearing their masks. “It's always a huge party,” Gavin said and held her hands. “I can see that now,” she commented and took a deep sigh. “Luna,” Gavin called and cupped her small face gently, capturing her eyes at him. “Don't you ever remove your mask, okay? Whatever happens, you must not remove your mask.” He said firmly. “I won't, why are acting so serious about it?” She asked and chuckled. “Well, it's a masquerade party. No one should remove a mask,” he said back and breathed heavily.

“The color of that dress suits you perfectly.” My cheeks flush with a rosy pink sort of hue, and I’m glad to have the mask covering my face. I glance down at the intricate lacework of my dark blue gown and the delicate Venetian mask that hides my identity. “Thank you,” I reply, my own voice barely more than a whisper as well. “You look handsome as well. I like your mask.” Karl chuckles, reaching up to touch the simple black mask covering half of his face. “You’re sure?” he asks. “I was worried it’s too simple.”

Zac replied with a scowl, clearly angry. "I still have one more question, Mr. Walker," the gay said with a dramatic pause, his eyes gleaming with suspense. You're so ugly! Of course, I only thought that, and didn't say it out loud, hehe. "Go ahead," Zac replied curtly, clearly irritated with the annoying gay. "What's the secret behind this mask?" he asked, and suddenly, he snatched off Zac's mask, letting out a demonic laugh. The crowd erupted in cheers when they saw Zac's handsome face. Those shameless women!
