Novel & Cerita The Council Will Decide Your Fate

I wondered why he demanded to be next to me in the first place. I noticed Cannon looking at us as well, and I had to avoid his glares as well. The elderly of them hit the table when the arguments from the members crossed the line. “To end this here, we’ll spin the balls.” “What about the f*cking date?” Ian asked with shaking hands. I could tell he needed a smoke badly and he wanted to end this f*cked up meeting. “The day after tomorrow,” the only female among the council decided. Matters ended there and a small rotating bin that looked like those used in the bingo games was brought forward. Twelve sealed balls with pieces of paper kept in them were spun. It irritated me to know that our fate

“Now… the council fractures.” Isabella whispered, “This isn’t over.” Adrian opened his eyes. “No,” he said quietly. “It’s just begun.” As the council split, loyalties shattered, and the crown hovered between truth and collapse, one terrifying question loomed If the vote could not decide Adrian’s fate… who would decide it next?

“A conclusion.” The word landed hard. Because conclusions didn’t leave room for uncertainty. Aria’s expression didn’t change. But something inside her did. “And what conclusion do they want?” she asked. Ronan hesitated. Then— “That you cannot exist like this.” Silence. Heavy. Unavoidable. Kael’s voice sharpened. “And who decides that?” “The Council,” Ronan said. “And the packs who follow them.” The howls were closer now. Louder. No longer distant.

"And if the Council declines?" "Then we're back to where we were. Except with more defections, more coalition members, and a story about this meeting that will reach every neutral supernatural community within the week." I met her eyes. "The Council's power depends on the perception of inevitability. We're offering you a way to remain relevant as the world changes. Whether you take it is up to you." We filed out. Cas last, pausing at the door to look back at the Council representatives still seated at the table.

I can't just travel around to see people on their deathbeds or something. “Let us explain.” Athea soft voice rang out in the room. We all looked up to see her and Lucinda were standing side by side. “Adam and Beth are getting everyone ready, they will be here tonight.” Athea added quickly before she set her eyes on me. “We knew you would figure out how to tap into your powers, but the definition we use is the bringer of light and dark.” Athea said. “It is one person who decides someone's fate. Where all the elements combine to vanish a soul completely.” Lucinda said with a soft smile. “So how am I to decide something like this? Am I suppose to visit all supernatural that lay dying?” I asked.

Nora's voice turned cold. "We have to take this issue to the council. They will be the judges of this, "Alpha Benedict announced. Hearing the word "council," I knew my end was drawing near. All the council members are in elite society, and they will never rule against one of their own. They are going to rule in favor of Mason. My eyes met Mason's, and he was smirking victoriously. I glared at him with my hand clenched, wanting to tear him apart for his doings. I move towards him and pounce on him, throwing a strong punch.

He continues, “It’ll only make things worse for you. Be calm and tell everything. Don’t leave anything out. Remember, no matter what the council says, the final decision rests on the Alpha.” “I get it,” I tell him, “Just be a robot.” “Exactly, be a robot who is also vulnerable. Remember you’re an eighteen-year-old girl, try to milk that.” We stand in front of a large door on which a black colored plaque reads ‘Rexellen Pack High Council’ on it with white letters. I release a stuttering breath. "Am I going to get a lawyer?" I ask. "We don't do things like that here." Haden looks uncomfortable. “The council and the Alpha King have the final say. It’s the law.”

All in favor? All members of The Council raised their hands...including me. {Alpha Noah Harvey} My phone barely vibrated in my hand when I pressed it against my ear. "Councilman Richard, I hope you have good news." "It's as good as it's going to get. The Council has made a decision." I held my breath while I waited to hear Alexus's fate. "You may send a covert team of pack warriors, no more than two, to quietly retrieve Alexus. Whichever woman wins the game will be deemed your mate. You may not reject her for Alexus. Failure to abide by our rules will result in extreme consequences. I'm sorry if this is not what you want to hear, but we have to be fair. Am I understood?"

He also saw attention, focus and the understanding that this moment was important. "Three days is not time for one being to decide the fate of everything " Kael said. "So I decided to ask all of you. Every being who has a stake in existence whether it continues or ends. This gathering is not about my decision. It's about all of us. Together we will choose what happens next." Arbiter Stross stepped forward, his old form changed since the Council dissolved. "How do you propose we decide?" he asked. "Do we vote? Do we argue? Do we try to convince each other?"

"I don't know, Adam. Every option is terrible. If we run, they lose their childhood. If we fight, we might lose everything. If we let them go, they become weapons. There's no good answer." He pulled me close. "Then we find a bad answer we can live with." "What does that even mean?" "It means we make the least terrible choice and survive it. Like we always do." He held me tighter. "But whatever we decide, we decide together. As a family. All four of us." The next morning, we sat down with Lucia and Sophie. Honest conversation. No hiding the truth. "The Council votes in three weeks," I told them. "If the legislation passes, we have to choose. Surrender you to government training, run and live
