There are just some things in life that are completely out of our control. No matter how much we try to avoid them, fate always finds a way to throw them at us. No matter how hard we fight it, fate doesn’t let us win—or even be happy. In the end, it’s fate that decides how our lives will play out. Whether we get our happy ending or not. Looking at how things were going between him and Gigi, Fabian couldn’t help but feel like fate was toying with them. Like they were just puppets in its cruel little game to pass the time.

I pleaded with the doctors to do something so I can see you for the last time before I will leave but it was so disappointing to hear that nothing can be done. My last day at your bedside was very heartbroken. watching you sleep peacefully without any pain made the matter worse. at some point, I thought you won't make it but I still believed that you will do anything to survive even if it is to fight for it because you are a strong woman. You have a lot to know but I am not in the position to tell you but just know that I am sorry for everything. I am sorry for not being there and for not being able to tell you anything.

The sky started getting bright and it was dawn already. "I will stop you," Lucus said as he looked at his book. "What are you thinking, Death?" Fate said as she looked at him "Don't do something that you might regret." Lucus looked at her, his grey and his hair peach. Fate looked into his eyes "You are right, I am the end. So I'll decide who's end I will be" He said and disappeared among the black clouds. She stood watching the skylight grow brighter "Not good"

"And that fate, is worse than death." What?

You choose your fate. Don’t you see, Rose? Every single life on this planet, human or shifter, has a fate out there for them. The fated path can change depending on your individual desires and free will, but each choice has its own path. Our destines are intertwined with each other in a complex labyrinth; the interweaving threads of the embroidered tapestry of life. No one born of this world is completely devoid of their fate. Everyone possesses both fate and free will, but free will will only get you so far, and you are no exception to that rule. Even a choice to remove yourself from this world and your possible fate, has its own destiny in the afterlife. Do you understand, Rose?”

Fate is what takes you down that road you ever so often avoid to take. Take for instance landing up down a deserted road at a diner. At the time I had no idea that it was where I was supposed to be with who I am meant to be, doing what I should be doing...falling in love.

“What do you know? Must be fate.” I start walking again. “Or I’m in hell.” I hear his intoxicating chuckle as he follows me in silence to the next class. I take my seat, almost in the back. He still sits close, but this time he was diagonal from me and out of my line of vision. Maybe, just maybe, I’d be able to focus in this class. I think I heard fate laugh at me. “What the hell were you and Ryan talking about?”
