Novel & Cerita The Council Will Decide Your Fate

Kaelan moved to the fireplace, staring into flames that offered no warmth. "What happens now?" Elara asked quietly. "Now we wait." Kaelan's voice was hollow. "The council will debate for hours, maybe days. They'll weigh evidence, consider politics, and calculate which outcome serves them best. And then they'll decide." "Decide what?" "Whether we live or die." Althea's voice was quiet. "Whether we're executed, imprisoned, exiled, or freed. Whether the empire needs scapegoats or symbols." Elara turned from the window. "And if they choose scapegoats?"

And I looked at him. "What do you mean?" Marcus asked, and stopped eating. At first, the elders ignored him before they finally answered. "Well, we can raise the issue up at the council and if we all agree to vote her out as our Luna, she'd be out." He answered. "What if the alpha says no?" "He can't. Even though he's the alpha, in issues like this, the council has the final say. That's how it's been from generation to generation. We can't change it now."

“More reason we will have to find a way out of this." A few of them exchanged glances, whispering to each other in low tones. When their murmurs died down, Joren leaned forward again. “We vote, then. If the council does not stand behind you, the truce remains…No one is going to attack.” “Fine,” I said. “Vote.” Maybe because I knew what the answers might be. I was a bit cautious about them voting. Regardless we were left with no choice. I watched as they voted and dropped my head when it ended.

I was being allowed to shower thanks to Redman, who had also given me some of his daughter's T-shirts and jeans. 'I'd bring you more, but I don't want her to protest.' 'It's okay. They'll end up ruined anyway,' I said. 'As for the apartment, the council has said that...Well, they've made things complicated.' 'Aren't they going to allow me to take part?' I wailed, in an innocent voice. 'I'm afraid I have no answers. They're delaying the whole thing, they say it's not their job. You know the "I work for this department and charity is not my speciality" thing.'

“Annie, it’s me. We haven’t been in touch for so long. If your father hadn’t mentioned it, we wouldn’t have known you went to Londres. Come on, it was just a little argument with George. Why did you have to go all the way out there just to sulk? “George’s father has decided to pass the title of Don officially to George next month. You know how it works. Before the previous Don steps down, a formal transition banquet needs to be held, and every major mafia family will send its representatives. We’ll be hosting a massive banquet then, and if you attend it, I will prepare a gift for you, okay?” My family and George’s family were long-time family friends in Solaria.

He seemed relaxed, carefree and… I didn't know what else. As the tension escalated, I could sense the unease growing among the pack members. The hall, once filled with anxious whispers, now felt electric, the air thick with uncertainty. “The council has made their decision,” Beta Bernard finally announced. “Now, let the people vote. If you want to see them hanged, cast your vote by raising up a hand.” I looked around; the grumblings gradually died down, and still, no hand was raised. “Then the decision is final. We shall keep them locked up until we gather all the information from them regarding who they work for, and after that, the Pack will decide what to do with them,” Beta Solomon added

“Luna Sage. Thank you for coming * “Did I have a choice?” The words slip out before I can stop them, A flicker of something-amusement?-crosses her face. “There’s always a choice. You could have sent Alpha Thorne in your place, or refused to come at all. The fact that you’re here demonstrates respect for this process.” “Or fear of the consequences if I don’t show up.” “Perhaps both.” She exchanges glances with the other council members. “We’ve deliberated through the night. What we’re about to tell you is the council’s unanimous decision.”

Chapter 44 GIDEON'S POV Restless was an understatement if I had to describe how I felt as the minutes ticked by. And the large old wall clock only worsened the situation as the ticking echoed around the hall. The council members were gathered in the council room, basically deciding my fate. The outcome of their meeting would determine whether I would still remain the Alpha of Willow Ridge or a panel would take over until the next Alpha was chosen. And as the rumors I had heard from Julian about Reginald flooded my mind, I only got more anxious.

The council was run by the oldest members of different packs no matter the gender. Right now we had just one female and five males. The leader of the council is the oldest person and she began to speak. “Welcome Alphas, we are here to make an important decision. We don’t need to make it a debate or tell you what we are here for but for clearing up any misunderstanding, we are gathered to make a decision. Should the rouge pack be part of us? The council would have decided on this but we have unfortunately come to a tie and incase of a tie breaker, it would be put for a public vote.”

“The mansion Has been inspected by all council Members And…” “I trust not one of you” I interjected Micheal's words and he frowned. “The decision is final. You have no other choice but to accept it” Serena uttered with her hand clasped. “No” I simply said and Micheal Sighed. “Kaelric, if you refuse this arrangement, it may be perceived by the people that you're resisting the council's authority…” “I'm not resisting. This is utter stupidity” I muttered and Chase sighed. “Can you just drop it? You're blowing everything out of proportion” Chase muttered and I whipped my head to him.
