I called out my name slowly. “Desdemona,” he repeated as a whisper. I know what he thinks, yes a curse name. The journey to the werewolf pack was long. When the gates of the pack opened, a thousand eyes turned on me. The people gathered as if they had been waiting for me. Their faces are cold and their whispers hurt more. What makes me think that this place will be any different. “Is that her? The cursed one?” “She looks weak.” “How dare she think she could stand beside our Alpha.”

“It’s because of your gift.” “Gift?” I asked warily. She nodded. “Lupinus Solis. It means Wolf of the Sun. Your wolf is an ancient warrior… untouched by the curse.” My brow furrowed. Ancient? What curse? Colima stretched her legs and continued, “The werewolves angered the goddess. That’s why they can’t shift—not because of the Council.” She titled her head forward, “But you, Cedric… you’re different. And because your mate is a direct descendant of Apollo. Your bond awakened your wolf—the Lupinus Solis.”

I stretched out my hand to pull out the piece of paper from his mouth when daggers flew in but we were quick enough to dodge them. They looked at me that I was fine then immediately charged towards where the dagger was thrown. I was about to open the piece of paper when a man in mask charged towards me. We fought and I noticed there was something strange about him. Though I could tell he was a werewolf but he used a strange magic which was known only to the witches. I finally pinned him down “Who are you and who do you work for?” I demanded having my claws ready to slit his throat

The story continued, darker still: “To achieve their ambitions, they performed a blood sacrifice upon the sacred altar of the Moon Goddess, seeking to diminish her power within their lands. Their intent was pure audacity, a plan to neutralize the divine essence that governed them. But their sacrilege was met with fury beyond mortal comprehension. The Moon Goddess, enraged by their insolence, cast down a curse so potent that every descendant of the pack who bore the bloodline would no longer shift into a wolf as is natural for their kind. Instead, they would transform into creatures of terror—monstrous forms that reflected their defiance, their hubris, and the darkness they carried within.” I

Lena practically vibrated inside my mind, bouncing around like a caged fire. 'Finally! I’m out!' she squealed, practically bursting through me. I could feel her energy spilling into my bones, wild and frantic, making me grin despite the tension in my chest. But that joy died instantly. A horror awaited ahead. My wolf snarled, a warning I couldn’t ignore. There, under the sickly glow of moonlight, a figure knelt over a human, teeth bared, fur matted and dripping with blood. The crimson was black in places, green streaked across his back like a nightmare come alive. He wasn’t just any wolf… he was wrong. Cursed. The kind of predator that didn’t play by the rules we knew.

By the time they broke through the tree line, the town was burning in full. Fire ran through the streets. People scattered in every direction mothers dragging children, men wielding broken tools as weapons. And in the chaos moved the rogues, wild and twisted wolves whose minds had long since rotted. Alaric was off his horse before it stopped. His boots struck the ground hard. The curse in his blood stirred, coiling deep beneath his skin. His claws slid out, dark and sharp as obsidian. The air around him shifted, thickening with power. He didn’t wait quickly He moved cutting down as many as he could quickly and swiftly.

" Do you mean Cursed did this to you?" " That is what I don't understand," Theresa said amidst tears. " I thought I warned you never to leave the werewolves habitat. Why then did you go to meet the humans?" Dawlish said walking away. " Our Cursed is gone. You will always feel like he's around or he is anybody and that is because you haven't let go of your memories with him. Learn to forget that we had another son. Learn to move on. It's been twenty years. What do you think? You will be able to recognize your son? If he was your son he would have felt the bond. Infact he wouldn't have tried to hunt you."

“It’s a female, with a black coat and eyes as red as blood!” “What?” “What is it Frank, do you know her?” Darren and I are watching in silence and my mate holds me down by one hand. “So? Do you know her?” Vlad asked again, confusing. “If what you say is true there was only a wolf with these characteristics .... they called her the Cursed Alpha! But it’s impossible that it is her, she died many years ago!” “Are you sure?” Vlad said, confirming. “Yes, I ordered it and I saw her death with my own eyes!”

His color was better, and he didn’t flinch every time he took a breath. The younger witch then moved to heal Carl. Callie, we’re here, Jack answered. We don’t want to alarm you, but we have a problem. The faint rumble of vehicles grew louder and stopped in front of the house. Jasmine moved toward the door.
