I was born in Canada in 2004. My family and I moved to the United States until I returned to get my degree. My birthday is on the 27th of April. My ethnicity is Nigerian. And I wrote the original version of this book in 2020. I just don't get it. I remember when this book was my greatest achievement. To be fair, I was sixteen and very naive. I would always fantasize about how my stories would captivate my audience. But fifteen years later, I cringe at the awful grammar mistakes. Now that I am revisiting my first book, I can see why nobody wanted to read this.

No sooner than the seal was broken than the book flipped open on its own, and went to her first most important memory after her day with dad. The day of my birth played out like a movie infront of us all. Mom leaned into Dad, as his eyes were glued the the memory that played from the book like a hologram. Tears were running down his face. “I felt it that day… But I didn’t know what it was, now I know.”

Even I forgot what today is. "That was never a happy occasion," I mumbled and I could feel her immediately shake her head, her arm around my back tightening, "It was to me," She said, pulling away so I can face her, "The day you were born, it was one of my happiest days," She added, a small smile pulling at her lips, recalling a memory, "You were the most beautiful thing ever and I knew, I knew I was bringing you into a very cruel world, I just thought I'll be able to protect you from it."
