Everyone nodded, too shocked to argue. "Mary, with me. Now." Dr. Stevens grabbed my arm and pulled me from the emergency room into a private office. He closed the door and turned to face me. "What are you?" "I'm just an intern." "Don't lie to me. I've been a doctor for thirty years. I've seen a lot of things. But I've never seen anyone heal wounds with glowing hands through touch alone. That's not normal wolf healing. That's something else entirely."

"Your doctors have no ethics and are playing with people’s lives. If my grandpa remains under their care, he might not make it through the day!" The uproar from the upset family grew louder, forcing the director to step into the operating room and send Liam out to deal with the situation. Viktor is still fighting the dog off, blood on his hand now from a bite. His eyes lock on mine for a split second. “This isn’t over, Doctor,” he calls, voice cold. “I’ll have you soon.”

Moments later, one of the eye witness comes to share his experience and to my utter outrage, it was doctor Grey on the screen. He didn’t even waste a second before throwing us under the bus.
