The Shadow Effect

The Shadow Effect

"It's OK Emma. I am here and you are safe. We need to get you training as soon as possible for you are stronger and wiser than you realize. We just need to unleash your powers." He heard her sniffling and watched as she tried to wipe away the tears, but they just would not stop falling. She continued to cry for a bit longer, then he interrupted her fright by saying, "Emma, we need to talk about something." She stuttered, "Wwwhhhaattt?" "The Fae are coming and you need to be prepared?" "The Fae? As in fairies, Fae?" she asked with her eyes growing wide in anxiety. "Yes," he confirmed before saying, "but they are not nice and like

Stone Born

Stone Born

What is that creepy guy? Talia looked at Declan, shocked. “We can’t tell her everything, dad will kill us!” I heard her whisper. I looked at both of them with an eyebrow raised. “Nemi, we don’t want to freak you out, or give you the wrong idea.” Declan started. I waved my hand, urging him to go on. “We aren’t vampires, if that’s what you’re thinking.” Talia added. “Then what the hell are you? Witches? Wolves?” I asked. “We are fae.” Talia answered. “Fae?” I asked. “You would know us as fairies or fae-folk.” She answered again. “You’re joking. Please be joking. You’re pulling some prank on the new neighborhood kid, right?” I begged them, feeling light-headed. I knew the supernatural existed,

Magnus: Dragon Prince

Magnus: Dragon Prince

Rex asked. “Fae leaders cannot be female, it is against their customs, everyone has said “she” when referring to this person, that means it cannot be one of the fae race leading this army, which begs the question, who the f**k has more of a grudge against Hale than Ean?” “No idea” Rex shrugged with a sigh, leaning back against Azulthaël’s tail, Lacey and Minet leaning in on Rex, both women falling asleep quickly. “It seems they have turned timid” Raz said, pointing at Lacey and Minet who were sleeping soundly, leaning on each of Rex’s sides.

This is actually a book! Most of the things I read on here have chapters consisting of 800 words or less This on the other hand has chapters that are 2k words on avg. plus the content is amazing. It could use a better editor cause there are a few gramatical errors, but overall, its my favorite book!

His Unexpected Mate

His Unexpected Mate

there was a dry tone in his voice. “No, bhe, I have no wings,” said Rena, anticipating Meg’s question. All she got was a tsk, from the latter making her smile. “Faes are beings that are not in this place. We can create portals that enable us to go back and forth between realms. There are magical doorways, your stories got that correctly. However, ordinary faes cannot travel between realms, and contrary to popular belief, not every fae has magic. The only ones who have the magical abilities are the royal lineage.” Lem let the words sink in before continuing, “humans were correct to assume that faes have light and dark. But other than that, and the doorway, that is the only thing that the play

Mated To The Cruel Prince

Mated To The Cruel Prince

She choked, recognizing the otherworldly creature staring at her with those strange eyes, and the blood drained from her face. No! It was impossible! it wasn't even dusk yet! "Never cross the borderland between the human and the fae," her father had once warned her as a kid. Growing up, she had heard people tell the tales of the exotic pointed-eared creatures that lived behind the Divider. They were called the Faes.

Mated to my Bully Alpha

Mated to my Bully Alpha

Looking back at them now…I kept on wondering how I had been alive for so long? Two years…two whole years in hell…that had seemed like two entire lifetimes of pain and desperation and agony. And the events that led me to turn rogue…they were as clear as day inside my mind… “The Fae live in their own pocket dimensions, removed from the rest of the world and ruled by their own monarchy, the Fae courts.” I told the team as we all sat in the Alpha’s office; even Alpha Krimson was on the computer screen, listening in from his pack. “However, due to Fae blood being highly valuable, there are only four courts left. The Summer Court, the

“What’s this one about?” Pushing the book down he dismissed me once more, “I thought you were afraid to read fae writing.” “It’s not fae writing.” I smirked and finally I felt it. I was whispering correctly, he couldn’t escape my voice now. “Do you know the difference between fae and common human?” “Yes.” He grumbled, “Fae is fae common human is your writing.” That’s when we both paused as a woman with gorgeously colorful wings appeared with a mountain of books floating behind her.

Presumed Dead, Now Queen:Alpha Arineth’s Vengeful mate

When he did, the usual stoic look on his face was gone, replaced by a softened expression—something I’d never seen from him before. “I know you have questions, and I’ll answer them one by one, but I’m sure you’ve heard of faes?” I nodded. “I have, but aren’t they extinct?” My father had told me stories about how the fae kingdom vanished years ago after they lost their queen. “Well, they’re not extinct. The world of the fae exists, and Katula is the kingdom of the faes, where I am their king—and you will be my queen.”

"It’s been centuries since I’ve been there. " "Oh! Okay." "Yup." He handed her a portion of dried fruit and smoked meat. "The fae are completely different from the other races so it's hard to guess. They operate by different rules, follow different codes." "Like what?" "Never accept a gift without giving one in return. If you're not fae, never reveal your true name. Never eat or drink anything offered freely." He gave her a serious look. "I mean it, love. In Eldoria, you must not eat anything unless I've approved of it first."

Falling for my Fae Captor

Falling for my Fae Captor

I tried not to react at all, but I could tell he was taking his time to be theatrical and I wasn't interested in games. "You see, you're not the only saint I know. Delphine was a saint. She is a saint, more accurately. Among the fae, we don't have many true kings and queens. It takes a special, powerful being to truly fit the title. It tends to run in families, but it's not a guarantee. Because these kinds of rulers are so rare, the general population prefers to call them saints. They're almost deities." Sean was prattling on. This had nothing to do with making a deal. I didn't want to listen to hours of nonsense from him. "What does that have to do with makin
