The Council stirred as voices overlapped in sudden panic. “She cannot—” “The wheel—” “The pact—” The silver shimmer pulsed once. Bright enough to sear.

He knelt after lighting the candle. After that, he began to make his wish. Flynn watched this quietly with a wicked smile. "I have three wishes. Do you want to know what they are?" Fred sat down and said with slight hesitation. Flynn said nothing, and Fred continued. "My first wish is for my girlfriend to return to my side.
