The Hunger Games Let The Games Begin Novels & Stories

Half an hour later, and a good few runs through my favourite, I hate my life playlist and I was standing outside of Honey Perhaps, a silly name I had thought wouldn’t do well but Central London ate that up. “Honey I’m home,” I called out, and the response was immediate. “Drea! You piece of shit,” Kian’s voice resounding bounced through the walls. Furnished with flowers and rows of baked treats with little sugar signs spun to add that artisan touch, “Where have you been?” He had his hands on his hips and flour in his hair, an apron already muttered with coffee stains and what I hoped was chocolate and not hair dye. “Planning my revenge,” and I let out a monstrous laugh that would put Malefici

Jason Peters opened his eyes slowly; he was beginning to come out of his extremely droopy state finally. His eyelids fluttered as though they were in the making of a slow motion video. All these were the after effects of staying up the whole night playing video games and at the same time hiding from his mom to avoid any of her reprimands for his"unethical behaviour". He was allowed to be up till at least 9pm during holidays, but he stayed awake till a whooping 2am the next morning.

My eyes take in Roman, who's hovering over me, with both arms on either side of my head. We don't say anything as we stare at each other, our ragged breaths being the only sounds apart from the TV. "Last I remember, I wasn't part of the game." I say. "Well you're in it now." "You just can't leave me out of anything, can you?" "No, impossible." He shakes his head. I open my mouth to respond, when something is poured down on top of our heads. I have to close my eyes in order to not get it in my eyes.

Whether it is because of the leaders standing on a small stage or if it is just that everyone is nervous, no one makes a sound. A man walks up to the stage and makes his way over to a microphone and begins to talk. "Welcome ladies and gentlemen. We are going to get started. I need all of the males to make their way over to the right side here and follow Mr. Jack to the private rooms that you will have. Each of you will get your room which is stocked and ready for you. You will be able to view the results of the assessments and along with photos starting tomorrow afternoon. You will be able to mark the females that you want in order of choice. As your name is called you will be given the firs

Arlen had been avoiding the festivities, coming up with various excuses. The Hunger Games used to involve warriors and people from various walks of life, competing in a series of obstacles and challenges to become champions and win the royal prize. However, these games had now evolved into a showcase of the academy's students, with no expectation of bloodshed, yet still had thrilling moments. "The royal family will be seated to oversee the games and award the winners," Roxanne said, eager to share the first family gathering with the omega she was proud of. 'What does that have to do with me?' Arlen wondered. He couldn't see the connection.

My heart was failing but it was at those moments, I felt a strange peace within myself. This is what death feels like… it’s very lonely. AUTHOR’S NOTE Hey readers, if you have gotten this far in the chapter, congratulations because you have finished the first book series of A Game of Chess: Queens to King.

“The hunting game will begin tomorrow. We all know what this game is about. Two contestants from each pack will compete in various activities, and the pack whose contestant wins will take the title of the best pack this year.” He finished in one breath, his voice carrying a weariness that suggested he was already tired of speaking, but it didn’t go unnoticed. The room seemed to hold its breath, waiting for the next move. Hades paused, his gaze sweeping the room as if considering what to say next. “Eat, and then retire to your assigned rooms to rest. The journey to the palace must have been exhausting. The game will begin tomorrow.” “Thank you for your kindness, Your Majesty,” the crowd respo

My father's grin broadened, "I am. There will be two phases of today's game. The first phase will be each alpha fighting against thirty men and women. To the fighters, if you're down for five seconds, you're out. While the Alphas are fighting, Kara, you'll be up against another fifteen. The same rules apply to the fighters you're going up against. Once all thirty of the fighters against the Alphas are eliminated, they will have to get to you. The one that, in theory, saves you, wins." "How do expect us to do that when she won't let us touch her?" Miles queried. "I got you these," Orion fished out two sets of leather gloves from his pocket and handed one set to Miles, "I didn't think we would

she muses, but her expression is murderous. They must think we’re easy pickings. I keep my eyes on the king as he calls for the games to begin and smoothes his hand through the air. The iron shackles all over the arena break apart, and a horn blows in the distance like a death knell. Let the games begin indeed.

We stared at them for a while before sighing. " And that's how you deal with bitches...." Ariana muttered victoriously. " By giving them a taste of their own medicine." I glanced at her and smiled. She did too. " Pound it." We said together as we made a fist bump. Game over.
