Lucy sat at a small wooden desk in the very last row of the history section, in the library. She was at a hidden corner that the overhead lights barely reached her. She kept her head down, her eyes tracing the same line of a textbook for twenty minutes without processing a single word. Every time the heavy front doors creaked open in the distance, her heart jumped. She was hiding, and she knew it. She heard the footsteps before she saw him. She didn't look up, but the air around her suddenly felt charged, a shadow stretched across her open book, and then the chair across from her was pulled back.

The woman stood behind the podium; her old, but unworked hands, smoothing out the precious pages. “Welcome to my library,” The woman said, her eyes flashing to them. “Can I help you find something?” The librarian had a reputation about her, stories whispered on sleepless nights. Her name was Claudia, and she had been in the library for as long as anyone could remember. Claudia’s book held more than the location of library books; it was said to hold every answer imaginable. The volume was magic; so much so that it was a part of the woman’s soul, and only she could read its pages. To every other eye, it was completely and utterly blank.

Meredith and Raven made their way to the library, pretending to be looking for references for an assignment when they had another agenda. There might be something about her there." However, the moment they opened the library's door, an old woman guarding the library gave them a sharp look. "Are you looking for something?" her voice was hoarse, as if it was rarely used. Meredith smiled awkwardly. "Just a reference for an assignment, Mum."

" Hello pretty one, how may I help you?" The librarian turned to Lexa with a gentle smile and connected her fingers together while gazing at Lexa tenderly. " Please, I need to get a book on how to hide a scent," Lexa beamed at the librarian and grinned innocently. Though, she was anxious on how the librarian will react to her words but maintained a calm face. The librarian looked taken aback and adjusted her eyeglass, her gaze changed into a weird one.
