The strange man still didn't speak. “You look rich. You should go to the club and find another woman. This one is ours tonight,” the first man said, reaching to grab me, but before his hand could meet me, the strange man grabbed and twisted it, and with just one push, the man was sent flying across the alley. I stiffened. My jaw dropped. “Who the fuck are you?” The second one asked, his voice almost shaky as they drew back. But Mr stranger remained silent yet again. He quietly and gently shoved me behind him, and as my hand brushed his skin, his muscles pulsed under my touch, and I could swear I heard him grow.

But she is a welcome fucking addition that both Titan and I enjoy. When I got back to Katrina's, she was sitting in the living room across from a man dressed in all black with a hood over his head. It was clear he didn't want to be seen or recognized. "Ramses, this is Thayne, he is the last Keeper besides myself." She said. I nodded to him and took a seat next to Katrina, putting my hand on her leg as they spoke.

My chest rising and falling as each second passed. “We’ll take whatever is left darling”, the third man said smirking, I wasted so much time, hoping that they’d have mercy on me but before I could think, the second man lunged at me and ripped the bag from me, he pushed me to the wall and held my neck, the first man collected my phone that i had been holding in my hand, I couldn’t breathe, I needed to do something to help myself, I hated that I was weak, I was suffocating but he held my neck tighter as he scanned my body, I kicked him in the groin, the man groaned in pain as he released me from his hold.

The vision vanished. The compass became solid once more. A distant roar echoed through the collapsing library. The stranger turned sharply toward the broken sky. "They're here." Dark cracks widened overhead. From them descended enormous chains forged from black iron. Each chain carried thousands of tiny locks. They wrapped themselves around the remaining shelves. One by one... The books stopped glowing. The stories fell silent. The stranger whispered a single name. "The Silence Keepers..." Adrian looked at him. "You know them?" "I created them."

A sharp gaze fell on her. Heloise suddenly felt the overwhelming pressure, which made her hardly gasp for breath. “Is she a psychotic?” A man asked in a deep and ice-cold voice, with an innate dignity.
