Chapter Two: SIGHTING Later that night, Rojean dolled up to go to a place that was both a nightclub and a bar that everyone was talking about. She was old enough, for sure, especially if she was going to get married soon. But she was never the kind of person to go out on the weekends, to a club or even a bar and always preferred the comfort of their apartment which Lucas didn’t mind at all even when he wanted to go out. She was in a cream coloured off shoulder dress which stopped mid-thigh and hugged her curves beautifully.

Harry replied, who always obeyed his superior's request, a habit that has become the law in the pack, not to question Alpha's orders. "Okay, later my men will come here to pick up the flowers, please pack them well!" Marco asked. "Good!" Marco got up and left the room. "Sir, thank you for shopping here!" Said the woman expressing her gratitude. "Oh yes there is this special rose." The shop owner gave Marco a large rose flower that had been wrapped in plastic wrap. "This, I give it to you! May your loved ones be impressed by your present, yes! Red Roses are really good for melting women's hearts!" She said with a friendly smile.

Gently but firmly, Walter peeled her arms away and bolted out the door, leaving promises and plans behind. He floored the gas pedal, the city's speed limits a blur as he raced back to his place. As he stepped inside, he noticed shattered porcelain scattered across the floor. He crouched down and picked up a piece. It was our 'couple' cup. The cup was in pieces, and the design of the two of us was so broken it was barely recognizable. He knelt down, his fingers trembling as he picked up a shard. We had made that cup together, a symbol of our love he had always treasured, never even letting water touch its sacred surface.

What could her lover be planning? Her phone buzzed again before she could ask any questions. "There's this greenhouse, The Rose of the City, that holds a big masquerade party every year," Max explained. "It's to celebrate the last day of winter and welcome the way for spring—that's at least what their website says." Max sent Elena a link to the website. The Rose of the City was gorgeous—it looked like a garden house maintained by some fantasy fairies and woodland animals. It was giant and housed some truly impressive plants.

She whispered and placed the rose at his feet, far away from the pile others had created. Standing behind her, Xander placed a hand on her shoulder for comfort and gave it a gentle squeeze. “You did great.” He whispered and kissed the shell of her ear as they made their way back to their seats. The very last rose stood out amongst the white, a blood red rose that belonged to Caterina sat at the top of the pile as the casket lowered beneath the ground till it eventually disappeared from sight signalling the end of the service. “I am very sorry for your loss.” Serenity recognised Sapphire easily with her fiery red hair, but despite her words, the woman’s eyes were set on Xander.

And the blush that was barely receding was back again. "I'm not a pretty little flower, Roses are as pretty as they are dangerous." He scoffed, standing up and even from where he was standing, I could see that he'll tower over me. He straightened out his suit jacket. Eyes boring into mine. "The only dangerous roses are those with thorns Rose, and you my dear, you have no thorns. You're a pretty little flower, a harmless little flower." He walked towards me till he was standing right Infront of me, towering over me as expected, I craned my neck just too look at him. "I'll be taking my leave now pretty flower, say hi to Mr. Potter for me."

Peyton stared at my face for a long time before he finally pointed at me through gritted teeth. "Officer, it's her! My employees have gathered sufficient evidence. The arsonist is Serena Snow! Please arrest her immediately. Sentence her, lock her up—whatever the law requires!" The investigating officers were shocked when they saw my half-dead state. "You're saying she's the arsonist? She looks like she's dying!" Peyton immediately shot back, "That's what she deserves!"
