Just my husband. "Is it over?" Bryan asked, looking at the house. "I think so," I said. But then I felt a weight in my pocket. I reached in and pulled out a small, leather-bound book. I hadn't put it there. I opened the book. Every page was blank except for the very last one. On the last page, there was a single sentence written in fresh, red ink: 'The sequel begins when you turn the key.' I looked at our new front door. There was a key in the lock. It was made of solid gold, and it was carved into the shape of a wolf’s head.

That love was stronger than extremist hate. We were home. Finally. Permanently. Together. And that—that was everything. **THE END - BOOK 2** ---

The knowledge is in the space between them, in the air, in the accumulated weight of all the mornings that have come before. --- This is not the end of anything. The last chapter of the story is not an ending—it's the continuation, the ongoing present tense, the life moving forward into the next morning and the next Tuesday and the next Sunday sofrito and the next thing that happens to them and that they build from. The book screamed. ⸻ Reality screamed. ⸻ The sky cracked. ⸻ And the name vanished. ⸻ Gone. ⸻ Destroyed. ⸻ Forever. ⸻ 💔 ⸻ 🌙 The Last Message The burning page released one final sentence. ⸻ A sentence directed only at Ilyaan. ❤️ ⸻ The letters glowed brightly. ⸻ Then slowly faded. ⸻ “The answer was never a word.”

When I was about to hold the door knob he grab me by my wrist and drag me back to my chair. “didn’t I told you that we need to talk?” “what for? I told you I’ll send someone tomorrow. I really have to go home now, I'm already tired!” I said pleading. I got scared with the way his eyes that I used to adore so much send some daggers to me. “aren’t you going to explain to me about your disappearance after high school and then after four years? What about the bullshit of a letter you left, what was that?” he said in an angry voice.

Like someone dying horribly. He doesn’t want to know; he’s gone and I’m sure I’ll die END OF BOOK 1 ------------------------------------------

It has not been easy. I guess that's my karma... And even though I'm going back, I will make sure he never sees me. He will never know I'm back. I know he moved on... And I'm happy for him...
