The library exudes a sense of order, as if the books have chosen to scatter on the floor deliberately, in a momentary act of rebellion. The smell of the library is a blend of worn, old pages, vanilla-scented candles, and the unique fragrance of the sun-burning grass in the summer. I feel a sense of coziness as I pick up the books from the floor. Approaching the man gathering the last books from the floor, each book seeming to carry a piece of the library’s soul, I notice that he is elderly, his presence radiating impressive calmness as if he is in no hurry to pick up the books.
