We both have something the other needs, you just don’t know what yet.” Ian flashes a gracious smile, but having grown up with him, I can tell he’s calling bullshit. “We’re listening.” Uh, no. You and Ivan are listening. I checked out at the door. What Sean says next makes me check in in a hurry. “You need trackers.” “Say what?” I toss him an indignant glare. “No we don’t. I have some of the best trackers in the country.”

We had been running for almost an hour now, how could he sound so unperturbed? I ignored him and pressed forward. He could order me to stop at any time and I wouldn’t be able to resist as long as I could hear him, which was why I wanted to get as far away from him as possible, to escape his range. This was why packs had territories. Their territory signified the range in which their Alpha could connect with his or her members. Our territory was expansive because our Alpha was powerful and it was rumoured that it would be extended once Louis officially became Alpha because he was more powerful than his father. Fortunately for me, since he was toying with me and hadn’t figured out that that w

The two brothers fell silent, though the trackers remained on guard. “Don’t take us for fools,” the tracker leader sneered. “We’ve seen this kind of diversion tactic before. It won’t work on us. You better come up with a better trick.” He raised his hand and barked an order. “Get rid of these fools! Don’t let them set foot on our land.” Their gazes hardened. They weren’t bluffing. I could feel that they were ready to take lives to protect whatever lay beyond the border. Trevor’s expression darkened. His eyes tracked their every movement without blinking. Tristan shifted into a fighting stance. Trevor pulled me to his side.

"There is a good source of energy and proteins that could give you enough strength Nelika. Tonight you must find the wildest beast at the end of the forest." My eyes followed the direction in which he is looking. "Do you mean I have to eat a lion tonight?" I have never hunted for such a strong creature aside from deer and wild boars in the forest. "Yes! A lion or tiger will give you enough strength plus the hunt will give you the experience. It will fight you hard Nelika but you must try. If you want we can ask another warrior to accompany us so if things get out of hand we have a backup." I shake my head.

The best tracker in his father’s pack who his father refused to help him, can track someone a thousand miles away without any problem. “Eon had to train with Geo again.” He straightened his back when he heard the elder say the name of the best tracker in the pack and he remembered the man and his cruel way of teaching them in the past

The 1st week had passed since the time they got to know the trainer. The three of them were walking in the jungle. The trainer had done his utmost in surveying ahead and ensuring that no living animal was around the area before coming to the both of them, after having made some traps in the jungle. Some traps that only a gigantic animal like the lion should be worried about in this area right now. He didn’t want the lion to be alerted before the actual attack. It would be the most ideal case for the lion to fall into his scheme of taking him as bait. Then he could lure it to the traps that he had laid all around the area.

I heard Lyra gasp next to me. My stomach dropped as I recognized the scent of the limb masked by the stench of blood. It was one of my trackers, a man who I had sent months ago to follow a suspicious trail that had been picked up near the border. My stomach churned as I recognized the scent. It was one of my trackers, a man who had left the pack months ago to follow a trail of suspicious activity near the border. A low growl escaped from me, Leo clawed at me to let him out. He wanted to shred them into pieces for touching one of his people.

We have been looking for like an hour. “We are getting nowhere,” I complain. “I know. We need a tracker.” He says. I know that Onyx is the best tracker, but we are trying to avoid the animals. Then it hits me, Liam. He is the best tracker in the pack. I tell Tyrell I will be back and get my ass back to the pack fast. I take myself straight to Liam’s house. “Fuck Tarlek.” He gasps. “Sorry, I need your help,” I tell him.
