The Supreme Luna
Even with the evening wind blowing hard, thunderstorms, or pitch-dark nights during a dead moon, the light stood tall into the sky.
I sat under a tree, gazing far toward the western border, where that light continuously and faithfully called for the dragon queen. Would she really come in the end?
“Mommy!”
My daydream ended as a small hand tugged on my skirt. The little prince, four years old, called for my attention with a beaming smile between his chubby cheeks.
“Yes, little prince,” I said, bending down to hold his hand.
“It’s daddy! He brings the flowers!” His voice was loud, so joyful to see his father fulfilling his promise to bring lupine flowers to Edelweiss Hill.
