The Lost Blood

The Lost Blood

It has an ornate metal clasp on the front which locks the pages giving the illusion of it being a box. I run my fingers over the clasp and it clicks open. I feel my wolf push to the front of my mind but I'm so engrossed in the book I hardly even notice. I open the cover carefully and look at it. On the inscription page is some writing and a hand drawn picture of a wolf in black ink. I read the inscription out loud. 'Journal of Lycius 1800AD' "Where does it say that?" Hunter says looking over my shoulder.

Lost to Earth: Book Three

Lost to Earth: Book Three

I can visualize the clock wheels turning in his head, trying to decide if I am capable of understanding the complex poem. I like a challenge! I sit, ignoring the warmth spreading through my body as I lie close to Bryce, opening the tome, and I gasp. The artwork on the page is beautiful and elegant. The lettering reminds me of "The Book of Kells," a real work of art. But I do not have the time to carefully examine the intricate patterns and designs created in different colored inks.

Lost to Fire: Book Two

Lost to Fire: Book Two

He has to get to his child. We can push the door open far enough for me to slip into the opening. It is handy to be small sometimes. I enter the room, seeing the cause of the obstruction is a bookshelf. It must have tipped and lodged itself against the door during the earthquake. I tip the bookshelf back against the wall, letting Brixtius have access to the room. A room with furniture strewn all over the place. "Eurydice!" I yell out, hearing her cries from under a fallen dresser. Brixtius moves with speed and lifts the wooden furniture like it weighs nothing.

MOONBOUND SECRETS

MOONBOUND SECRETS

Lyra’s old journal said mixing them with Alpha blood could purify corruption. My claws prick my palm. “Hold on, Selene.” --- **The Tomb’s Secret** The tomb is a cavern of bones and echoes. Ancient murals line the walls: wolves battling shadows, a crown of starlight, a heart split in two. Selene gasps. “That’s the Veil’s symbol!” A pedestal stands at the chamber’s center, holding a dagger made of obsidian and moonlight. The scroll’s final words blaze in my mind: *“Truth lies buried.”*

Marked in the Middle

Marked in the Middle

She pressed her palm to the center of the gate. The runes blazed to life. A deep tremor shook the ground, and the massive doors groaned apart. A rush of stale air poured out, thick with the scent of dust, age, and forgotten souls. They entered. Inside, the tomb stretched into darkness. Torches flickered to life as they passed, igniting in trails of blue flame along the walls. The light revealed murals, battles, coronations, betrayals. And at the center of it all, a crowned figure holding a sword of fire, bound in chains of shadow.

Fated (Book #11 in the Vampire Journals)

Fated (Book #11 in the Vampire Journals)

A lost book. Caitlin got up, encouraged, returning the books to the library clerk, and went back to the computer. She changed her keyword search terms. Lost cities. Mythical cities. Legendary cities. Vampire cities. Vampire races. Lost races. Extinct races…. Caitlin tried dozens of combinations, and this time she ended up with an improbably huge list of books, hundreds of them, having to do with lost civilizations and lost cities and races. They were mostly about mythology and archaeology in general, and not about vampires. Yet she found it encouraging nonetheless. Maybe she needed to think of the vampires as a lost race, a lost people, a lost city.

Leading My Family to Glory

Leading My Family to Glory

“We should talk about how to acquire the second book.” “Senior Belisarius, I have no idea where the grimoire is now,” Tyr said with a nod. Maxime revealed, “It’s in the royal tomb of Emperor Martyn.” Tyr’s heart swelled with strange feelings as those words were spoken. Maxime explained, “Souleater Grimoire is one of the five books of wonders. It’s a miraculous book that is rare to find in the world. Aegar had tried to seek it out for Emperor Martyn at the time, for the emperor had spent his entire life pursuing immortality. Tyr, you should now understand what the term ‘longevity method’ means, right?”

The Billionaire’s Gilded Cage

The Billionaire’s Gilded Cage

“What the hell is that?” Kael glanced at Lyra. “Tell him.” Lyra hesitated. “It’s… an ancient tomb. Beneath the Carpathian roots. Where the First Prophets buried their mistakes. Cursed souls. Failed vessels. It’s a living prison.” “Then how do we break in?” Anya pulled a rusted map from her pouch. “Through the Well of Forgotten Kings. But it’s not a path mortals walk and return.” “I don’t care,” Lerder growled. “If Elara’s down there, I’ll tear hell open.”

Immortal Billionaire

After all, what he was about to do would be all worth it in the future. Once upon a time, he came across a book meant for it... Necromancy. Instead of putting it on a shelf, he reads its contents and even practised the spells. He was here in a cemetery almost forgotten by time to resurrect a certain woman. He stared at the very ancient tombstone almost swallowed up by the ground. It was particularly set apart by the other tombstones around the premises. No statue of angels or gargoyles stood sentry or near around it, just untrimmed shrubs and towering trees that looked as old as time.

Forgotten Embers

he continued, pulling the chair in closer, "what is it I can do for you?" "I read in a book," she began, curiously watching him, "about a man appointed by the Council as an ambassador to Pyre. While in Pyre he endured much hardship. Still, he was faithful to his charge. I thought the book was old. I thought that it told stories of a far away time. Then, I saw something that changed my mind about it. It was a photograph taken at the dedication of a library, the same library where I met Benjamin in the ruins. In the photograph, I saw Justice, Kypher, and Blackridge standing side by side with Casper, Ramus, and Stephan. Sebastian was there, too, with his apprentice and the Ambassador beside the
