Outsiders only knew some basics about the King and the Queen yet those basics were enough to instill fear. Esmeray's father's name was Darach King, he was the Former crazed Lycan King and her mother was the Cold Queen who ruled a Queendom in the middle of nowhere with her iron fist. She was also a breaker of unwanted Lycan matebonds which was a damn big deal, no one even in the Sacred Land of Witches was capable of messing with the Moon Goddess's sacred bond.

Kaiden then said, “Enough about the Lycan king. He's only going to be here for a few days because he's a very important guest.” “Including the other kings?” An elder asked and Kaiden shook his head, “I'm only interested in the Lycan king.” he said coldly, his eyes glowing with greediness. “Even if he doesn't find his mate, I'll give him the opportunity to pick a chosen mate from our pack.” … Irene was seated in her chamber, her face extremely pale and thin. In just a few days, Irene looked like she had aged ten years. As she remembered how her mate, Kaiden defended Rene earlier, tears welled up in her eyes.

“It does… but can’t you see the odds? They’re mated. For all we know, she’s already marked by him.” Victoria let out a sharp, mocking laugh. “That’s not going to happen. As long as the elders refuse to accept her, the Lycan Kingdom will never recognize her as queen. Understand?” Lyka stared at her for a long moment, then shrugged. “If you say so. But that’s your battle. Not mine.” She stood up and walked away without another word. Victoria narrowed her eyes at Lyka’s retreating figure, her expression darkening with fury. She had humiliated herself, walking under the blazing sun just to form an alliance, and that bitch had the nerve to reject her so casually.

"You... you murdered the old King?" "We took care of a problem," Rowan corrected coldly. "But we made one massive mistake. We let his son live. We thought a useless pup wouldn't survive the winter alone. But Cassian didn't die. He crawled into the shadows, built himself an army of loyalists, took back his crown, and now he's the Lycan King. He’s spent years waiting for the perfect moment to destroy us. And this Peace Gathering? This is his move." The room went completely silent, save for the quiet ticking of the grandfather clock in the corner.

you continue, locking eyes with the Queen, "and I know that even with her actions, she doesn’t deserve what’s coming for her. Please, I ask you to reconsider. Perhaps, with your understanding, we can find a path forward that doesn’t involve punishment but guidance." The Queen's hand moves instinctively to her stomach, as though the weight of her own child makes her even more receptive to your plea. Her gaze softens further, and you see the wheels turning in her mind. She’s thinking, processing the words with a gentleness that stands in stark contrast to her husband's cold demeanor. The Lycan King, for his part, watches the exchange with a neutral expression, but his eyes remain fixed on you.

BUt she could clearly see Rakhbar was proud of their new King because of his ability to shift into a fearsome Lycan as not many lycans could shift these days so his people were ready to cater to his vulgar desires. Just imagining it was horrible. Laylin breathed out, as her legs almost gave out. The King was probably the age of her father, she didn't want to imagine the monster she will face. She bit her lips. He was a lycan and she had heard Lycan women bleed on his bed, what if kills her after molesting her? Her father will have what he wanted and Rakhbar won't shed a tear for her. No on

"And you know how much I hate hearing that word when someone has failed to take responsibility for their actions." I turned toward one of the warriors standing nearby."Arrest him," I ordered firmly, pointing my sword toward the former leader. The warrior immediately stepped forward. "Yes, Your Majesty," he answered, bowing his head respectfully before grabbing the former leader by the arm. "Please, Lycan King, give me one more chance!" the man pleaded as he was pulled to his feet. His voice shook as he struggled to keep his balance. "I have served this pack for years. Please don't take everything away from me!"

And then, to her shock, the king spoke. "Very well," he said, his voice resigned. "If my son does not want this new member in our pack, then she shall be rejected."He stated , Obligated to his son.
