The Lycan's Queen Aarya Novels & Stories

“The Moon Court does not request. They collect.” A low growl rippled through Ares’s chest. “And they will choke on this one.” Several Alphas shifted uneasily. Lord Thorne finally spoke, voice steady but tense. “You crossed half the kingdom in feral sprint for her. You disrupted ancient wards. You allowed a human village to witness Lycan power.” Ares’s gaze lifted slowly. “She is not human.” The words landed like thunder. Murmurs erupted instantly. “That’s impossible.” “The seal—”

I am just processing everything. 'Thank you, but to answer your question. Yes Aaron is a Lycan and he is your Beta. His Lycan, Thanatos, has always been my second hand man. So I am glad Queen Nadea kept him by my side. Oh and don't ask about that right now. I will explain that after this run.'

"Don’t tell her." But I do. “Aries.” The Queen smiles. A slow, cold, knowing smile. “You are either going to be our salvation…” she murmurs. “Or the one that destroys us all.” A shiver runs down my spine. Aries is silent, but I can feel the storm brewing inside him, raw and electric. “I don’t understand,” I say carefully. She moves to the window, gazing out over the bright lands. “Aries was the strongest wolf to ever exist,” she says quietly. “Stronger than the Lycans. Stronger than any power that existed back then.”

she said cheerfully and hugged me to herself. Lennex ran into my back and when the woman looked up at him she burst into tears. I asked her what was wrong. "He looks identical to her dead father Alexander," the man mumbled softly and offered his hand to Lennox. I looked at him and back at the woman. "You're Arina the lycan queen. I apologize for my behavior, majesty," I said kindly and curtsied. Arina shook her head as she dried her eyes.

She brings my hand up to her mouth, placing a kiss on the back of my hand. As I lay here with her in my arms, I silently thank the moon goddess for giving me her. These past years with her have been the best years of my whole life. I use to think to have a mate would make me weak. I am the lycan king, I am the monster that people are afraid of, the monster that would kill anyone without a second thought, and I was fine with being that monster. I didn't want some woman trying to change me into something I was not, so I never wanted a mate.

The very stone beneath their feet seemed to tremble beneath the force of it. Aliyah did not move. The Shaman lowered the crown and placed it gently on her head. The weight of it landed softly, but its meaning struck hard. Queen. When the Shaman stepped back, the silence shattered. The voices around her rose louder. A thousand howls joined as one. It was a cry of loyalty, a song of the old ways. Aliyah stood tall beneath it all, the crown gleaming against her dark hair. She was now Queen of the Lycans.

Which I almost believe with how he gags around humans. Draco, is my wolf. Though not just any wolf. He's the Lycan King. Both of us in reign of the kingdom of Leaden. I came here with business, but as always I was just disappointed. But as the king I'm required to do all these things, even when they sometimes just want me to bite my own head off.

I remarked, rising from my seat and circling the table to stand before Alpha Killian, my gaze locking on him. Fear flickered in his eyes, swiftly masked by false confidence. Intriguing. “Have you ever heard of the Lycan King?” I inquired, my tone low and measured. “And what's your name?” “They don't exist; it's folklore. I'm Alpha Killian,” he retorted, meeting my gaze head-on.

and “you saved us.” “Cassia,” began the woman who had first spotted her in the room, her voice strong, if touched by her own tears. “If you hadn’t come for us, Kaylen and I would likely be in front of Devlin Anwir” - she said the name like she was spitting it - “this very moment.” Cassia’s head snapped to look at the woman, causing her to wince slightly. “Anwir?” She breathed. The woman nodded, solemn. “Kaylen and I -” she indicated the curly redhead beside her, “are both Lycans.”

When Kiyan and I were much younger and more naïve than we now were, my grandmother would sit us down in front of the fireplace every night and tell us a story. It never changed and always began with the same person- Lycaon. He was said to be the first of the lycans, cursed to shapeshift into a wolf by Zeus. The reason? He tried to serve the great and powerful Zeus human flesh. Furious with Lycaon’s trickery, Zeus cursed him. From there the lycan curse spread. Lycans would bite humans, cursing them to the same fate. Eventually, word had spread about these strange shape-shifting creatures. And so, a war broke out between the humans and lycans, both believing that the world had no place for the
