“I won’t let you be happy because of this. Remember that. My queen.” When Shahila said “my queen”, she gave a little bow. A mocking bow. Harper rolled her eyes at her and stormed off. None of the words she said has shaken her. Not anymore. Harper knows that now, she’s the more powerful one. Everything and everyone are under her. Even the Lycan King. She closed the door behind her as she entered her room. The nurse-maid was feeding little Hector with milk on a bottle. “Please leave.” – Harper said and the nurse-maid obliged instantly

I try to change the subject to Kayla but Charlie knows exactly what I am doing. “Who is the Lycan Queen?” I tried to bite my tongue, Ripper was begging me to keep my mouth shut but as I looked into Charlies blue grey eyes, I just could not keep silent “I believe that it might be you” Charlie falls to the floor, landing in a pile of fallen leaves and I hastily put Kiwi down to be at my mate’s side “I’m not a leader” she mutters at me “Charlie there is something you need to know” I go on and explain how the book states that pure bred female Lycans are given powers by the Moon Goddess, she stares at me in disbelief

Wasting no time I shift and head in the direction the other left. ‘I can feel our pup’. My Lycan says as we come up to what looks like a small village with a large old house at the head of it. Just the look of the place reminds me of an old horror film Psycho, I shudder as I move forward letting my Lycan lead us to Nari. The more I run through the strange street, the more I see the females on the ground kneeling with their foreheads touching the ground and hands behind their backs. As though someone was holding them down, guessing the Queen’s magic is what’s at work.

The warriors' eyes widened in astonishment, realizing that they were standing before none other than the Lycan Queen. "Queen," one of the warriors whispered, his voice barely audible. The realization of my true identity seemed to ripple through the group, causing a mixture of awe and apprehension to wash over them. It was clear that my presence alone had shifted the balance of power in their eyes, leaving them unsure of how to proceed. "Yes, Queen, the true mate of the Lycan King." I declared boldly. "The ruler of this realm and protector of our people." I raised my head high, meeting their gaze with unwavering confidence.

“Because you wouldn't be cooped up in this place if you knew. I know you well enough to make that deduction.” “Out with it then. And it better not be a waste of time, or you may not leave here with that tongue of yours, Carina. Remember that I've spared you for far too long. I will not accept disrespect.” “There's a new Lycan Queen. And it's someone who you know very, very well.”

Refusing to cower and break eye contact, I stood my ground. "Here's news for you, Nathan. I don't fear you. You don't own me. Want to know why?" I said. "How dare you," he spat. Seeing him so frustrated and angered made me feel powerful. It made me feel like I was in control. "My name is Raven, and I am the queen of Lycans. I am no longer a slave, I am a queen. Do not touch what belongs to me. If you do, you're going to get burned." I hissed and pivoted on my heels. Without pausing to look at him, I retreated to my room, shutting the door behind me when I walked in.

She lay down on the bed, turned her back to him, and pulled the blanket over her shoulder. My father stood there for a long moment. Then he left. The lock turned. Liora stared at the wall. And something in her eyes hardened into stone. ______________________ The memory shifted to the day everything ended. The Lycan Queen had returned. Her carriage rolled through the gates, black and gold, flanked by guards in silver armor. The pack gathered in the courtyard, bowing, scraping, afraid. She claimed she was just stopping by. She didn't need to be entertained.

“I can’t leave without telling him where I am going.” “Is there no way to contact him?” Anna looked around the cave with its magical torches and furnishings that, for the most part, I had conjured up. “No, I don’t suppose you have the internet down here?” “Inter-what?” I asked. Rachel and Anna’s jaw dropped open simultaneously. I laughed, “You can certainly see that you are sisters when you both look at me that way.” Anna snapped her mouth closed. “I am the queen of the Lycans.”

But then, watching the same people over and over again gets boring overtime. Diving into the book, I reopen to one of my favorite parts of the lycan battles. It is the chapter where the lycan king was brought to his knees by the queen, and makes she him beg her for his life. He wasn’t expecting her, or that she would even do something like that. It is what makes me like it more. I feel like I relate to the queen well. She has always been undermined and underrated, then she wound her full potential and—
