My husband's hand disappeared from my waist, and I wanted to whimper at the loss of contact. "Baby, I don't feel too well," Sadie complained, squeezing between us. I wanted to believe she was pretending, but the worst part was that I couldn’t tell anymore. Stephen frowned at her, and his gaze cut to me. There was pity in his eyes, and I couldn't take it.
