Fated To The Mate Who Loves My Sister

Fated To The Mate Who Loves My Sister

Whispering erupted among the people, but the magistrate silenced them with a sharp wave of his hand. “You have two choices laid out before you,” he announced coldly. “Either you confess, undo the charm, and serve years in prison… or you refuse, and you’ll be hanged. The spell will be broken upon your death.” The tension in the room grew as his words weighed heavily on the air. “You have two minutes to make your choice,” he added, his voice full of warning.

Tara
I really hope Benita and Nathan can find peace with each other. I know her past was brutal but I really hope she and Nathan work things out and let their bond grow stronger. Theo definitely needs his father!! Nathan doesn’t know what he is missing but when he finds out, I hope they both bond well.

While I HATE that Nathan is the ML because he's so f*cking awful, the book itself is well written and entertaining af. I love that the FL doesn't need weight loss to be desirable. Her kid is his own person, and not some weird little male seeking homunculi whose entire personality is wanting a dad.

I Love You Three, My Dear Mates.

I Love You Three, My Dear Mates.

What if he had HIV? "I don't have HIV." I heard his voice which sounded irritated as he looked at me with a frown. "How do you know what I was thinking?" I was surprised. He looked confused for a second and then he said, "You didn't leave immediately and was in deep thought and I saw you frowning. I felt like I assumed it. You know I can read minds. I am a magician." I laughed at his childishness and realized he is harmless. Who believes in magic nowadays? There is a scientific reason behind everything.

His Lordship Alexander Kane

His Lordship Alexander Kane

The higher he climbed, the scarier the fall. "Alright, you pick the tricks for two rounds, and I'll pick one. That's only fair as the host," Alexander agreed with a grin. He was not a magician, but with his semi-Empyrean skills, he was not scared of a little illusion. Robin, with his reputation on the line, was not about to back down. "Okay, first round, we'll do a grand transformation—a person has to vanish and reappear a hundred meters away. Second round, we're talking dismemberment—limbs, head, body, all separate."

The Lust Cursed Luna

The Lust Cursed Luna

If he wished, he could inflate any curse or magic's intensity which he did just now. “Is lifting curses one of your possessions?” I had to ask. “Nope. That, milord, is not my piece of cake.” came Reagan's sarcastic response. “Is there anyone who can?” I again asked urgently, hoping against hope that there was a solution. Reagan laughed mockingly. “You are funny, your highness. Asking the doom about luck.”

Luna's Redeemer

Luna's Redeemer

I said, accepting his handshake. "My name is Garrett Marcadi. I am the greatest mage in the history of magic users," he said, and I eyed him, unable to hide my skepticism. "You don't believe me?" He said, cocking his head. "Tell us why you are here," Denzel insisted. "Yes, your majesty," the mage said. In a blink of an eye, he'd transformed into a much younger man with sparkling black hair, which was gelled away from his face. His clothes were properly tailored and ironed. They looked expensive.

The Alpha Queen's Deadly Secret

The Alpha Queen's Deadly Secret

Margot turns back to the mirror, just staring at her reflection – my reflection twice, really. She shakes her head, raising a hand to her cheek and softly touching it like she’s not sure it’s real. “This shouldn’t be possible.” I hesitate. “Why not?” “The magic,” she murmurs, leaning over the sink to inspect her face, turning it this way and that to observe the incredible effects of the spell. “It’s not that powerful. It’s just a little cantrip – a joke spell…”

An Assassin's Magic

An Assassin's Magic

"No." Mayari instantly replied. "Is there anyway that I could change your mind?" Jim tried to persuade. "No." "Do you need to think about it?" "No." "Is there any chance I could change your mind?" "My decision is final." Mayari uttered. "Bummer." Jim sighed. "I guess you don't need my skills and connections to easily find the mastermind." "Anyway, that's all the information I have and that's all there is to it." He said. "So farewell, May."

Born To Fight

Born To Fight

He slowly walked to the front, talisman in one hand, a wand in another. "The plague!" *bam* The door closed on them. And then, for the third time, the black blooded flesh seeped up, steam coming out of each little piece. The magician ran to the door and began to conjure spell after spell, hitting the door, while the others yelled questions at him. "What's going on?" "What's the plague?" "Answer us, goddamn it!" "Why you hitting the door so hurriedly, boyo?" The magician did not respond. He began to cry as he hit the door over and over again but realized it had not budged. He sat down beside Larry's frozen body and wailed, further putting his colleagues on edge.

Death's little angel

He instructed one more time and they did as they were told. The magician with a ring was paired with magician with a pen, while the magician with the shinny bottle was paired with the magician with a pen. The first two magicians stepped forward, facing each other and bowing slightly to each other before introducing themselves. "My name is Swift," the first magician said, his tone was void of any form of emotion "My name is fire " the opposing magician introduced himself in a hoarse and confident tone.

I Was Reborn As The Most Powerful Princess In History?!

Suddenly, out of nowhere, a magician passed by him and hurriedly went to the room next to him, rummaging through the papers and glassware inside while cursing. "Shit. Shit. Shit!" Tristan was confused and decided to ask the magician, knocking on the door as the magician jumped in surprise. "Sir Tristan!" He greeted as he bowed. "What is this all about?" The magician paused searching for a moment as he slightly turned to Tristan and looked at him in a confused manner. "Haven't you heard the siren?" Tristan sighed, annoyed. "I did, but what about it?" The magician turned back to his searching and answered him, without hesitating.

Frequently Asked Questions

The twist in 'The Magician’s Assistant' feels like a masterful sleight of hand, which is fitting given the title! At first, the story lulls you into this intimate, almost melancholic space where Sabine’s grief for Parsifal anchors everything. Then—bam—you realize the narrative’s been shuffling cards under the table the whole time. The revelation about Parsifal’s past isn’t just shock value; it recontextualizes Sabine’s entire understanding of their relationship. It’s like Ann Patchett deliberately mirrors a magician’s act: distract with emotion, then reveal the hidden mechanism.

What I love is how the twist isn’t just about plot; it deepens Sabine’s character. Her journey from devoted assistant to someone confronting messy truths about love and identity feels earned. The surprise isn’t cheap—it’s the key that unlocks the story’s heart. And honestly, that’s what makes rereads so satisfying; you spot all the subtle foreshadowing you missed the first time.
