Zane asked, looking at Lucien confused. "Quit being a whiny child, Zane. She is not angry with you, the thing is she is mute and I'm the only one that can communicate with her." "And she hasn't said anything bad about you so far, but who knows maybe soon." Lucien explained to him, I watched as Zane's face changed from one of confusion to pity. He didn't seem grossed out by the fact that I was mute. Others would have looked at me like I was a freak or something.

Too frozen by the realization that I survived, when most die. A howl in the distance grabs my attention. Turning my head, I see a big red wolf staring at me. I was tickled at the way he was licking me until I realized the Alpha and his warriors were clapping their hands. Weren’t they supposed to shift already? But they were just clapping and hooting, and some were even chanting, “Way to go, Gamma!” ‘What’s going on?’ I asked, confused. ‘I will tell you later…’ Austin said. ‘Ready to hop on my back.’ I nodded, but my eyes were roaming around the clearing until I met Harlene’s eyes. I didn’t notice she had arrived. ‘The Gamma just declared his intention to have you as his mate! Congratulations!’ Harlene winked at me before she took off her clothes and shifted into her wolf.

The Mnemos continued, unaware of the threat behind her, “But it turns out, I already have what I want.” But just as the gamma tried to lunge at her, she was immediately alerted by his presence. Without looking back, her hand curled up in the air, and suddenly the gamma began to fly in the empty air, and with a quick snap of her fingers, the gamma fell to the ground, dead.

She sobs lightly, looking down to the ground. Andricia turns back to the cave and begins walking in slowly. As soon as she steps past the gate, she catches fire. A big black shadow stands at the end with his arms out. She hands her gamma to him, and immediately the gamma turns to black smoke, just as the rest did. Andricia remains there, still aflame, facing the strange man. I see his arm snap up, pointing out of the gate, sparking at the tip. I can hear your breathing, little one,” the Gamma calls to me. Shrugging at myself, “Come in,” I reply with a scowl. He walks in with a smirk, “You are a funny one,” he comments as he walks in and takes a seat beside the bed.

And then, the tension snapped. Without warning, the first Gamma lunged towards Zero, his eyes wild with fury. Zero moved faster than I could blink, his body a blur as he grabbed the Gamma by the throat and slammed him against the nearest tree. The sound of bones cracking filled the air, but it didn’t stop there. Zero’s claws, gleaming in the moonlight, sank deep into the Gamma’s flesh. I couldn’t breathe.

As they disappeared into the shadows of the forest, the last broken Gamma stirred behind them, whispering into his communicator— “They’re alive… and she’s not just a wolf.”

Esther mumbled, turning her hands over as she assessed their condition. I also looked curious. There were still fights going on in the Alpha‘s apartment. I heard the sounds of breaking glass, blows being thrown, bodies colliding with hard surfaces, and sounds made by tired people. But one sound stuck in my head the most. Fireball's wild and uncontrollable roar echoed as she attacked Gamma Garcia like a predatory cat, biting her skin off.
