My lips parted to speak when a rattle came from behind the door and the handle twisted, revealing a male that looked to be in his late twenties. “By the fates,” he adjusted the black rim glasses on the bridge of his nose and his eyes trailed from me to Keyleth and then behind my back. “Oliver, what brings you here b—” “We need your help, please.” His expression flattened out and he opened the door wider, giving us space to walk in. The wooden door closed shut behind us, rattling the floor boards. “Somehow, you always manage to find yourself in something” I let the body drop from my back down to the floor with a loud thud. I could give one fuck what happened to the wolven right now. My back w

Eude said, but the Orc leader slammed his fist into the table. "Quiet humans! Or else I will rip your tongues and eat them!" the Orc leader retorted. "Just because you are going into the Fog Forest doesn't mean other hunters can't do the same! Orcs are not afraid of anything! Especially not of shadowbeast! We piss on them!" He spat on the floor and looked at the mercenary with the wench girl on his lap. "Let the female go!" The mercenary pushed the woman, and she fell to her knees. The mercenaries laughed. "She is on her knees more than any other whore we met!"

"The magical backlash from the binding... it went into the ley lines. It went down." The iron door to the Dragon Keep—a massive vault sealed for three hundred years—began to glow red. The metal warped, melting like wax. A roar echoed from the depths. It was a sound that vibrated the marrow in their bones. ROOOOOAAAARRRR. The door exploded outward. A figure flew through the smoke, landing in a heap at Vespera’s feet. It was Oryn. In this world, he was an Orc—green-skinned, tusked, and wearing the leather apron of the Beast Keeper.

Between Zen’s weakening finger grips and Urum’s confusion, the orc general’s confusion caved in first. Unwilling to believe the human had fallen off along with two of his bodyguards, he stepped across to see if the clumsy human had really died. The grumpy orc general kicked aside the two other bodyguards slain by Urum’s scimitar as some warning to the human who might be playing a prank on him.

The elevator moved upward, and so it stopped, and I got out of the elevator and walked to my office door. My hand was placed on the door handle. Then I twisted it downwards, then pushed the door open. To my surprise, I saw Orion, the CEO of the Clinton company, sat on my official chair, his leg propped on my desk, playing with his fingers, as if he had been waiting for me for a long time.. As soon as Orion noticed me standing on the door, he shifted his gaze to me, then dropped his leg down from my desk.

"Eloise? Are you still working? I really appreciate it. Don't you worry—once the company goes public, I'll make you a COO." Hah, more like he'd make me a convict! Daniel walked into his office with a smile. However, a few seconds later, he stormed back out with a darkened expression. "Eloise, did you go into my office and touch my things?" My heart skipped a beat, but I forced myself to stay calm. "No. I've been right here, working on the prospectus." "Impossible! My mug has been moved, and you're the only one in the office right now. Company policy states that entering my office without permission and touching anything constitutes forfeiture of your annual bonus and immediate termination. I

"Five applicants are scheduled for the final interview to become your secretary potentially. I've initiated the process and passed the list to HR. We anticipate a busy time in the office. Additionally, you have a meeting with the managers scheduled for Friday; it would be beneficial for them to meet you formally," Assistant Mike informed. Instead, I made my way through the rooms and corridors to the office. The door was slightly ajar. For only a second I began to hesitate, but then just as quickly, I pushed it open. Fuck this. It's my house. Oren's chair was turned, facing the windows that overlooked the pool. "...yet you were there? If the conversation will affect Demetri Enterprises, then I should be informed."

A deep rich laugh booms and Orion steps aside giving way for the massive burly figure of a smile with an overly enthusiastic smile plastered across his face, It seems a bit weird but I see the same glint in Orion’s eyes, and the more I look the more I see more of Orion in him, he’s more of an even jacked form of Orion with the slight tinge of age drawn across his face and all too deadly looking scar running across one length of his cheek. “Knowing him, he has probably not said a damn thing about me to you,” he said walking up to me in big steps “I’m Marcus, his uncle and I am from the good part of his family, you must be the Paloma he’s trying to-” The next words die down in his throat follo
