The Return of the War Legate

The Return of the War Legate

Seeing her standing before him, he got a completely different vibe from her. "Did you see that name in your history books? I must be a being of the distant past to you.” “There are still books with mentions of Partingia within them." Rozi seemed to be under the impression that Partingia had been completely erased. Something must have happened there. “I'm surprised the people of the future know so much.”

Dictated Wife Of The Modern Cupid

Dictated Wife Of The Modern Cupid

I whispered. Tears fell together with the glass I was holding. I hurt how it broke, but I have no interest in looking at its broken pieces. What was the reason looking at that scattered parts of the glass? I was like that; broken scattered into pieces, and lost in the field. I don’t have any direction to follow. Not a single compass helps me to go the right way. I was like that glass, steadfast, having heart aches, heaviness, and unknown future.

The Unbroken Glow

The Unbroken Glow

Regret crashed over me like relentless waves. As the years rolled on, it felt like relentless waves were pummeling me, each threatening to drown me. However, no other girl came to my rescue. No girl swam through the storm to pull me to safety. In the moments before I drifted away, my head throbbed with pain, and I could barely make out the sound of a sweet but frantic female voice. "Doctor, we'll pay whatever it takes. Just... Please wait. I'll sell this bracelet and be right back with the money for his treatment."

Leaving the Past Behind

Leaving the Past Behind

"Alright, Molly. Just remember—you're not as important as you think. I hope you don't regret this later." Jerry swallowed hard, his voice rough but just shaky enough to notice. Without looking back, he walked out of the shop before I could. I let out a breath, the tightness in my chest finally loosening. I needed to end our mate bond for good tomorrow. … The witch handed me the potion and studied me closely. "Drinking this will sever your mate bond. Are you sure about this?" "I've made up my mind to go through with it. I deserve a fresh start."

Crossing Lines

Crossing Lines

Glass. It caught the light like it was taunting me. I should’ve thrown it away. I should’ve let her go the night I first touched her. Should’ve walked away before she twisted herself into the machinery of my life. But I didn’t. Instead, she was living in my home. In my bed. In my thoughts. And now the cracks were showing. My hand hovered over the piece of glass, but I didn’t touch it. I turned back to the screen, where the Singapore documents glared back at me. Contracts, zoning approvals, election coordination—all threads I needed to pull tight before the whole thing unraveled.

MARKED BY THE SILENCED WOLF

MARKED BY THE SILENCED WOLF

Winnie’s POV The threshold of the Glass Cathedral was not a door so much as it was a boundary between the possible and the impossible. As I stepped away from the violet grit of the Whispering Wastes, the heavy, suffocating weight of the outside world simply ceased to exist. In its place was a vacuum of absolute clarity, a space where the air itself felt like it had been distilled into a pure, crystalline essence. I did not look back at Cassian. I knew that if I saw his fading form, that column of silver mist and borrowed memories, the resolve I had spent my soul to build would shatter like the very glass under my feet. I could feel him there, a silent anchor in the dark, but the path ahead

Savannah: The Pack's Outcast

Savannah: The Pack's Outcast

It swung inward with a groan. Inside was dark, the air heavily scented with burned wax, leather, and the mustiness of great age and dampness. The stained glass windows faced her left and took the shape of a flower petal, somewhat like a rose. Each of the petals contained a colored-glass of the vital body parts of a wolf. The fang. The fur. The paw. What little light there was at this early hour filtered little light through that window and took on the colors of old wine, casting long shadows over the long rows of books. It was almost twice the size of the book shelf back at the other library in the castle. How insane was that? Savannah’s joy could be compared to one of a child at a candy sto

Love Without Time Limits (AC2)

Love Without Time Limits (AC2)

I will probably never see it again. I took the stone off my arm and dropped it into the fire before turning away. I heard a fizzling sound and looked back. The fire was gone. And the broken shards of glass were no longer on the floor. They were suspended in the air a few inches above the stone which was now looking amorphous and colorful. The sight of burning glass bits moving in the air was nothing short of a psychedelic experience. The next moment, the stone seemed to have sucked in all the glass pieces and returned to its normal boring appearance.

I didn’t see that coming in chapter 80. I know why it had to happen this way and how it’s going to pay off but I really loved reading their little side story and feel sad that it ended and he will be grieving. It’s one of the best redemption arcs and would like to read more about him.
Christy Pfeiffer
I just started reading this and it's actually the only story I've actually read on this app! (I mainly use it to check on my own stories, and to find out what those are search Christy Pfeiffer in the search bar!!) So far so good! I felt bad for the heroine as her boyfriend dumped her 😔

The Vision She Hid

The Vision She Hid

I said, softer than he deserved, “who are you showing this to? Me or yourself?” “Both,” he said. “One of us will regret it.” I looked down, because sometimes the only way to keep your heart from showing is to let your eyes do the hiding. The Insurance Book was an ugly miracle. Nothing in it could save a person. Everything in it could destroy a family. He tucked the false floor back in and shut the lid. The cedar breathed out a little past, grateful for the cover. The guard at the glass door knocked with the back of his knuckles, the sound careful, like he hadn’t forgiven himself for having bones. His face had that washed-out look all the devout have when their god starts answering other peop
