The President

This story mostly follows Cassie. An American twenty-two year old who was orphaned at age of seven years old, and got adopted by the nanny who took care of her. Cassie also had terrible nightmares over what she had seen and heard the night when she turned seven. Damian is the mafia boss, whom Cassie will have to work, live and be with. Damian has a nephew, but only people who don't work for or with him, think the kid is his son. Damian learned to not be too attached to someone very early in life, because the pain is stronger when you realize that they are no longer with you. They hate each other, they are always fighting. But, somehow Damian starts to like her, and so does Cassie. But something horrible has to happen for both of them to realize that they have feelings for each other. What would happen for them to realize that?

I thought I would be beaten and broken forever. It was the curse of not shifting. Without a wolf, I was no better than a human to my pack, an omega. I was there to serve and clean up after them. The only light in my life was my boyfriend, Jake. At least, he was until he decided to sleep with and mark my sister. "Don't move!" Coming home late from work, I was sneaking a shower in the shared bathroom of my rental when a warm body suddenly pressed up against me. His rough palm clamped over my mouth, pinning me against the cold tile. He held me there against the damp wall, his skin burning hot against my back as he let out a low, gravelly threat. "My guys are right outside. Just try and scream." Instead of panicking, I leaned back into him, shifting slightly. I tilted my head back and breathed softly into his ear. “So… you want everyone hear? I don't mind… we can give it a try.”

My husband’s friend’s widow uploaded a picture of her pregnancy report. [Thank you for letting me have my own baby.] I responded with a question mark when I saw Jake Green, my husband’s name, in the husband column. Jake immediately called me to yell at me. “She’s a widow and is living alone. All she wants is to have a baby to keep her company and give her life a little more cheer. How could you not show her even this bit of pity? “You know that Henry is my friend. It’s only right for me to take care of his wife after he died! This is called friendship, don’t you understand?!” Soon, Henry’s widow uploaded a photo of a loft apartment. [Thank goodness you’re by my side to let me experience the warmth of a family again.] When I saw Jake busying himself in the kitchen in the photo, I thought it was time to end the marriage.

The afterlife is another world entirely. Called "The Otherworld" for lack of agreement among the inhabitants. It's filled to the brim with the various creatures and gods of mythology.
