‘The hunters’ was all it said on the front, the same book Kyan and Zekan had spent days looking for. I quickly dashed out of the library and headed straight to see Talon. I pushed his heavy doors open to see him sitting in his large chair looking thoughtfully as Zekan and Kyan both sat at the centre table. They all looked straight at me as I bounded into the room. “I found this!” I rushed out as I held out the book to Talon. He looked at it as his eyes widened. “The book about the hunters!” He breathed out as he took it from me. Both Kyan and Zekan stood up from their seats in surprise.

She nods and ducks back in only to come out seconds later. "What is it?" She asks as she swipes a piece of hair behind her ear. "This is from Hunter." I reveal the book and look down at it. "His grandmother was a tigress, like you. This is everything she learned and he wants you to have it." I hold the large, leather bound book in between us. She takes it into her hands and flips open to a random page.

At first he was petrified by the possibility of having to inject himself with vampire blood, but now intrigue clouded his resolve. "I shouldn't be telling a hunter about wolf bane, even." She stated the obvious, but it was quite a shame that she wasn't wrong. "Or no I should, Rachel was the one that implemented it." "Correction, was a hunter, now just tired. The new leader made it?" The chair was far too big for her, swallowing her small frame, but she felt oddly safe in it. Before she realized, her eyelids grew heavy. The book slipped onto her lap as she drifted into sleep. Hunter returned late, his mood thunderous after the ring, after Geret. His mind was sharp, his body burning with violence he hadn’t been able to unleash fully. But the instant he stepped into the quiet house, he sought her.

The forest trembled under the sheer force. The Hunter roared in psychic agony, staggering, its fragments flickering, unstable. My wolf howled, muscles coiling, energy pulsing like a storm. Azrael matched my movements, silver eyes glowing, every strike precise and lethal. The core pulsed violently, then, cracked. Energy fragments exploded outward. Victory seemed within reach. But the Hunter adapted faster than anticipated. Shadows coalesced into new tendrils, aimed directly at the bond. A shadow tendril struck Azrael’s chest, sending him flying backward. My wolf screamed.
