The Red Fairy Book Novels & Stories

"I saw that last one once and it wasn't pretty. Took that poor man 60 years to snap out of it and by then everyone he ever knew and loved was dead." "That's terrible," I shake my head sadly while also feeling grateful that I didn't eat any of the berries I saw on the road behind us. "Many things in Faerie are," I shrug. "Not all fairy tales are kind, or beautiful, or happy. Most of them are actually dark. Faerie is just as complicated as any other world. In some ways, it is even more complex." Up ahead on the road, there is a beautiful house made of wood and glass in a large clearing with a giant garden framed by redwood trees.

A pair of iridescent wings fluttered gracefully, revealing the presence of a fairy—a being seldom encountered in the realms of werewolves and vampires. Hera and I exchanged intrigued glances, captivated by the fairy's radiant presence. The creature's eyes sparkled with an otherworldly wisdom, and a voice, gentle as a breeze, spoke, "Alpha Davien, Princess Hera, you carry the energies of the Heartwood within you." Surprised, I responded, "Who are you, and how do you know of our journey to the Heartwood?" The fairy inclined its head, a gesture of acknowledgment. "I am Faelan, a guardian of the ancient magic that resides within these woods. The Heartwood's whispers echo through the realms, and

"What are those?" Aurora smiled. "These are the fall fairies. They have come to change the leaves." Sure enough as they watched. The leaves on the trees lit up. Before their eyes the foliage changed from shades of green, pink or purple to bright red, orange, yellow or even brown. Even the grass glowed and turned from a luscious green to a flaxen gold. The fairies made quick work of the plants as they came close to the humans. Their energy was mesmerizing. Aurora stood up and held out her hand. A single little firefly landed on her fingers and transformed into a creature resembling a tiny woman with wings. "Hello," Aurora greeted, dipping her head to show respect.

“Come with me.” Winter walked around the library. She then went to the very corner of the room, pressed the room button and made it open. A secret room that holds magic books for tier one witches. The book was flying, unlike the books in the front room which were neatly arranged on the shelves. Helena just found out there was a room like this. Each book was coated in fairy powder, so it could fly on its own. “This is the book!” Winter exclaimed. She reached for a book with a red cover; a book that could show a map of the world.

he confessed and tried to use his waves to cover his face from embarrassment. I smiled warmly at him and picked up the book he had in his hand. "Well this book won't do. It was published in the 70's. You need....." I trailed off as I went from the set of stairs in front of the wall of book shelves. I climbed up until I found the more modern book of Fairies and brought it back down. "Here" I said and handed him the book. "It was published in the early 2000's and to my knowledge, that's the most recent book we have. That should help" I explained.

No one, not even this monster, deserved to be raped by two men in a dirty dungeon. “Let’s get you out of this dress little bird.” I heard Antony drawl out, and could see his eyes hooded in lust from where I was standing beside the open cell door. He reached out for a handful of her dress and pulled. The faerie let out a small whimper as she slammed her eyes closed and I heard the sound of fabric beginning to rip. I quickly took two steps forward and grabbed Antony by the collar of his shirt, and pulled him away from her; knocking him to the ground on the other side of the small cell. I heard the other guard gasp at my sudden presence, and ignored him, instead reaching my hand out for the cha

"Sei please talk to me . I can't see you crying like that . I will kill that bastard tomorrow so don't worry ." "No! Don't do anything to him . You will be taken to the court ." "Then tell me about it . I will listen as long as you tell me ." "You won't believe me ." "I will believe everything you say , you just say it . " "Well you see I have the fairy mother's blessings in my voice . " "What!? " "Yes the fairy godmother blessed my voice when I was seven years old . " "You are saying the fairies exist ?" " They do . Do you not believe me ?"

“Alice don’t think you have won…just because you managed to escape, steal the golden book and free Fate sisters doesn’t mean you can win against me.” She took a bottle filled with violet liquid and went into the garden. She took the pot and put few drops of liquid in the pot. In no time Oleander plant grew up. “Being a fairy you could be close to nature but the same nature can turn against you when the darkness surrounds it. I am really sorry you didn't get to learn about your fairy powers Alice" Sandra smirked.

that world, dragons. She spent her days in a radiant natural palace made of mountains and ice.Sitting alone. Not that she knew anything else. Thus time passed, until, on a hot spring day, a butterfly flew between the mountains and glaciers, and as if it were only there for this cause, it lands on the wrist of the fairy. The fairy has no reaction at all, nor does she move, she stands there as she has for a long time, staring at the blue and black wings of the butterfly. This one stays there for a few moments, spreading its wings as if it were going to stretch just to close it then, suddenly as if it had changed its mind, flaps its wings again, and passes through the colossal columns of ice, dis

Happily ever after is overrated. “No I’m not, Cinderella has a step-mother who is wicked and 2 step-sisters and I don’t have any. Besides, Cinderella’s life changed when she married her prince charming. My life is not like hers… it’s just messed up, fairy tales like that do not happen in this lifetime already.” I said as I laugh at the idea of it. He smiles and faces me with this uncertain expression on his face. “I am glad to see you laughing now. You seem to be so down and... you might be right, but will I- will we ever going to see you again?” he said.
